In November 2019 I hiked the Santa Cruz Trek alone in Peru's Cordillera Blanca, about 30 miles in three days with a tent and no stove. From Vaquería the trail climbs the Huaripampa valley to the Punta Unión pass at about 4,750 m, with Taulliraju and the turquoise Taullicocha lake below it, then follows the Santa Cruz valley past Laguna Jatuncocha and Llamacorral down to Cashapampa. The last part of the film is how I got there from Lima and Huaraz, the altitude, the weather and what I carried.
