cogwork dancers is only one kill because its one guys soul

Silksong, but I torture all the insects to the brink of death in the name of John Pacifict

Technically speaking, Last Judge finishes herself off

Are you sure trobbio doesn't die ? He does a pretty convincing dying choregraphy.

8:08 the two cogwork dancers have the (singular) soul of the green prince’s partner within them, which is still confusing, but I personally would count this as 1 kill.

You killed an egg of mossmother

When you destroy the robots you can see the silkflies (souls of dead pilgrims) controlling them fly out of the destroyed shell, so you only broke metal and did not kill the soul piloting them. However, the cog work dancers are different and used the soul of the green princes lover to construct both, so that would be one kill.

you can also skip moorwing by getting 5 fleas

Given that the automatons in Pharloom are animated by silkflies, which themselves are the reanimated silk/souls of bugs experimented on in Whiteward, I think protection against double jeopardy applies here and any robots felled shouldn’t be counted as killing.

For widow, first sinner and grandmother silk after you defeat them you bind their essence (??? idk ask mossbag) to yours. When we bind Eva, Hornet says that she becomes not dead, but part of her. So technically, you can also argue for a weaver's binding rights and reduce the count by two for a total of 24 kills.

Technicaly any robot enemy being destroyed Isnt killing but rather freeing the souls of the pilgrims trapped in them and same for the green prince lover since yes the citadel used soul Butterflies tò Power its automatons

7:41 the cogwork dancers are kind of alive, basically, the green prince said that the citadel threatened to destroy their kingdom of verdania, so his partner sacrificed himself to save his partner’s kingdom by trading his soul to the cogwork core, the citadel kindly agreed and killed him, and split his soul in half, and put each half in a cogwork dancer robot, so basically destroying the first dancer makes him 50% dead and destroying the second dancer makes him 100% dead, so yeah, in silksong, robots can be killed.

9:37 the two robot guys are skippable. You can do some precise clawlines to enter the platform from the left, and then gain height off the underworks enemy to reach the arena.

WHY MUST YOU REMIND ME OF GARMONDS PERILOUS FATE

Destroying the Cogwork Dancers counts as one kill. This is because they have one soul split between them, as Hornet and the Green Prince both note. The soul was transferred to the automatons, then finally put to rest when you kill them.

cogwork dancers have 1 bugs soul in them so the counter should go up by 1

Most cogwork stuff is animated by a silkfly (which is „the life“ inside), but this fly flies up and away after the enemy is destroyed, meaning it’s not a kill (think of it as destroying a mech but the pilot escapes)

Every cogwork enemy has a soul. The cogwork dancers are only one, though. You've successfully failed at your mission

Dude you're like the Dougdoug of Silksong.

considering the robots are all powered by silkflies, which are explicitly made from the souls of living bugs, i think they pretty definitely have souls.

that said, the silkflies fly away after most robot kills, so i think it's fairly safe to say they aren't killed by you? they'd just need a new body
