On April 25, 2026, a Charlotte County deputy pulled over an Uber driver after she was seen weaving across lane lines and driving well below the speed limit with passengers in the vehicle.

She blamed the Uber navigation, but deputies noticed signs of possible impairment and began a DUI investigation. As the field sobriety tests continued, the situation became increasingly tense.

Then, after the vehicle was being towed, deputies searched it—and discovered a glass pipe. The search didn't stop there. More pipes and a baggie containing powder were later found inside the vehicle.
