Agvstine tries to hide that she is gay for Guinevere (challenge impossible)

I just wanted to note that Aurora is not the protagonist of Sleeping Beauty, the three fairies are. The three fairies are the ones driving the plot and acting to combat Maleficent. But because of marketing, Aurora gets presented like she's the protagonist and people then get confused as to why she disappears from the story halfway through. She's not Snow White or Ariel, she's Prince Eric.

Had to stop watching halfway through because my dad is teaching me to play guitar BUT i am watching it through NOW

oh how I cherish video essays because I can see the passion and personality and quite frankly so inspiring

Oh god I needed this video. I’m so tired of the “it’s about Disney” thing.

The Jax quote stunlocked me for a sec.
Best girl btw and by best I mean worst.
Great essay tho.
I do think a lot of the problems we'll see between Frankie and Gwen will be Frankie being stuck with her idealized fantasy of who she remembers Gwen to be and that friction is going to push Gwen closer to Andi.

I want Guinevere to reconnect to the rest of the Guinevere androids and riot across the galaxy

I'm sincerely so shocked that this video doesn't have more eyes on it because this has to be one of the best analysis piecs for KOG in my very humble opinion because it finally goes farther than just "oh disney is evil and KOG is commentary on that" or very general, superficial takes. I really appreciate your mind, thank you for making this video! It was wonderful to listen too while drawing :) <3

34:05 I never made the connection but the fact that Disney was babbling about Epcot plans on his death bed may have inspired Olivia running Park planet from her own

“You like Guinevere, don’t you Agvstine? 😏”

(I’m sorry, I had to. It genuinely made me smirk hearing how much you like Guinevere. Your analysis is beautifully well done too :3)

Holy underrated!!!This video is genuinely a masterpiece!!! The way you word things is incredible and your theories are amazing!!! And it’s so easy to tell just how passionate you are about this show even if only the pilot is out so far!!

I feel very akin to your statement of "I didn't want to disappoint myself" when it comes to art.
I believe myself to be a... somewhat talented artist. But the thing is, I use posing tools and dolls as starting points. I trace poses and fake anatomy skills. (I never take credit for what is not mine or trace pieces without permission, in fact prefer to not use other people's art to trace, only posing tools)
Everything that comes after that is completely my own work.
I've been doing it for years upon years now that I've grown and developed so much, to the point that I wonder if I could do it on my own, without the training wheels.
But I'm scared. Scared to disappoint myself. To be quote on quote, "bad."
On the outside, I justify using pose makers and fight for them to be more universally accepted in the art community as an aid for artists.
But on the inside, I'm horribly hard on myself for not being able to do it on my own. I feel like a fake and a poser.
I've attempted to do it on my own more recently. And honestly, it's not half bad, I think. But I still use the training wheels most of the time.
I hope that someday, I'll find the thing that encourages me to step outside of my comfort zone and chase what I love, just like KOG did for you. <3

20:46 guys I think she has a crush on Guinevere 🫢

“ya know Gwendoline predicted all this.”- Bobby Bacala after watching Digger 2026

The way I gasped. I was just rewatching your Chaggi video yesterday!

A lot of said topics in the video lokey made me think about the implications of Disney being so SO much more fascinating then the “fuck you disney” aspect that so many people latch onto so much.

This is the first video I’ve seen where it talks more in deep with Guinevere’s inspirations of Disney princesses, but someone points also show how she’s also heavily inspired by Mickey Mouse(despite it being a popular but also “unpopular” comparison?)

Just like guine’s emotions, Mickey emotions are vary much stagnant, it being vary rare for Mickey too feel anything other then happy go lucky, tho there are “some shows that have Mickey show more personality, midjority of his appearances are mainly for ether children’s television and theme park appearances, and even if there are shows, Disney is vary strict with how Mickey should be presented, there’s a whole division for that even 😭, it’s even gotten too the point where even his official voice actor has shown his struggle of wanting too give Mickey more emotions but constantly being shut down as too “not too scare the kids” and in general for these past few decades, Mickey has been treated as more of a mascot for said branding of the Disney company, witch leads too my next point

Outside of the park planet, you see how quineavere is seen by the people, having her, pure hatred for her as too them, they see her as a representation of the company, giving her devil horns because there evil, kinda like how people see Mickey as using him too represent the company, it honestly wouldn’t be surprising if we see a evil version of her that they made too represent park planet as what others do with Mickey

There are as much connections with her insperation being from Mickey Mouse and the Disney princesses as a whole, designs in both aspects too with the hair and seeing her in a rubberhose style in the artbook

When I first heard about the themeing of the show being a “fuck you Disney” show, I was DREEDING too see an evil version of Mickey Mouse as someone who heavily hyperfixates on Mickey Mouse and toon media in general, but not only was I relieved but so astonished that quivere IS Mickey, and in general, as much as kog in its own right a fuck you too Disney and there unethical practices as a comany, it’s also in a weird way a “love letter” too Disney and the people behind the stories and characters, hating the company, but not the creations and the people behind it as they are the people who also get heavily fucked over by the higher ups in charge

As we live in a time where being a Mickey Mouse fan is lokey a NIGHTMARE at the moment, it’s wonderful seeing Guinevere being such a wonderful representation of what mickey gets subjectied too in real life, AND fandoms, they are more then just mascots, they are characters that people do love a have a deep comfort for that do not deserve too be hated on and be a representation for Disney greed, as we should not make the Mickey Mouse be a mask too hide the CEO’s and higher ups from judgement for making these horrible and greedy decisions

(It became more of a tangent later on so sorry, I’m just a big Mickey Mouse hyperfixator)

Also note: I absolutely despise that despite it being IN YOUR FACE that guine is also a representation of Mickey, some people STILL use Mickey too represent Disney when talking about kog, like have yall even WATCHED THE POILET, THERE THE SAME DAME PERSON YOUR HONER, SHES ROASTING HERSELF (does show a lot how people only really care about it being a criticize too Disney and nothing else like you’ve explained in your video)

Uhh, sorry for the long comment, but uhh ending note, Mickey and Guinevere are besties your honer, I rest my case.

i like this video a lot :D

Seated to enjoy peak!😊

I have been excited for KOG since the pilot, beyond excited even. And this video made me so incredibly happy, even made my cry a little bit, knowing that others are also as passionate and see this show for much more than just ''another Dana show'' or ''disney hate''. Beautiful video, 10/10, some of the lines made me pause, it was awesome, thank you for making it.

This essay was exceptional, worthy of a scholar.
