Korzystając z tego uzasadnienia CHINY mają 10x większy mandat do zajęcia Tajwanu, zwłaszcza że to są w zasadzie ich obywatele.
Zapewnienie, że Chiny „nigdy” nie zostaną globalnym hegemonem ze względu na swoją kulturę, jest bardziej deklaracją niż wnioskiem: do dominacji nie potrzeba przecież powszechnej znajomości mandaryńskiego, wystarczy kontrola technologii, dostaw i reguł wymiany. Podobnie deficyt handlowy nie oznacza, że Europa codziennie „traci” miliard euro — rzeczywistym zagrożeniem jest uzależnienie gospodarcze i osłabienie własnego przemysłu, co zasługuje na precyzyjniejsze wyjaśnienie. Sprostowania wymaga również przedstawienie RCEP jako czegoś innego niż strefa wolnego handlu: brak swobodnego przepływu ludzi nie odbiera porozumieniu tego charakteru.
Największy niedosyt pozostawia jednak nierównowaga krytycznej oceny: chaos Trumpa zostaje przekonująco opisany, podczas gdy chińska rozwaga chwilami otrzymuje zbyt duży kredyt zaufania. Pekin niewątpliwie potrafi budować wizerunek stabilności, lecz wizerunek ten nie jest ani gwarancją pokojowych zamiarów wobec Tajwanu, ani dowodem nieomylności jego strategów. Rozmowa bardzo wartościowa — właśnie dlatego zasługuje na dyskusję, w której autorytet profesora otwiera pole do pytań, zamiast je zamykać.
Choć nie przyjmuję na kolanach wizji świata profesora Góralczyka, z niezmiennym zainteresowaniem chłonę jego opinie i analizy. Jest jednym z tych ludzi, których słucham najchętniej i od których stale uczę się rozumienia świata — również wtedy, gdy mam powody, by się z nimi nie zgadzać.
Indie, Rosja i inne narody, które mają wspólne granice z Chinami, nie są przyjaciółmi Państwa Środka. Są ich konkurentami i przeciwnikami, one boją się Chin.
