And this is why Save Me is one of their best and most underrated songs ever. An absolute masterpiece.

I truly think Mike did more than record drums on a record for them…he helped release a killer fucking record, and potentially dug them out of what must’ve been a horrible time for the band. Props to all of them for carrying on

"This one was a f*cking disaster. It was all over the place." Why are their best songs like this lol?

Mr. Portnoy is the real chameleon, he can fit in every band.

Mike is such a MVP for stepping up and helping out a7x after the rev passed

4:28 when syn says Jimmy's name and Matt's face lit up. That was such a genuine moment I hope we all appreciated lol

Amazing song. Jimmy had the mind of a music genius, and props to Portnoy for following the genius' through process.

I love hearing them talk about Jimmy because you can tell they were legit friends and not just band mates. I love that these guys just seem like normal people in these videos.

this is simply the best Avenged Sevenfold song. awesome to see some footage from the studio during the recording process.

So Jimmy contributed a LOT that explains its masterpiece

"Save Me" was the greatest conclusion to an album ever. After the first listen, I didn't think anything could come close to the epicness of "Fiction," but I was wrong.

this video is just as long as original "Save Me" song

Props to Portnoy, absolutely killed it with this track

Syn's little smerky grin thinking about the chords and harmonies shows how dedicated and happy he was with how it came out.

Man, this song is INSANE! So much going on. A true Masterpiece!

When Portnoy wears the number 24 jersey of Kobe Bryant

R.I.P Jimmy The Rev
R.I.P Kobe Bryant

The legends of Drummers and Basketball

I'm so fucking stoked we're getting a breakdown of this song. I legitimately think it's one of the best songs they've written. Wish it got more recognition.

4:21. Wow glad to hear Rev wrote those vocal harmonies. I love that part so much. Rev was such a genius. This song is a masterpiece, and one of the best Mike Portnoy songs ever.

you guys seemed so happy and nostalgic with this one!! thanks for the video!

I can feel the guys get emotional when they talk about Jimmy. I can't imagine how heartbreaking losing him was for them. It's so sad. =(
