Karpov went from drunk uncle playing with his pieces in an empty bathtub while talking to himself in to super saiyan mode.

Glad you show Luc Winant’s games and mention the May, 9th memorial. More information about Luc Winant can be found in Histoire des maîtres belges by Wasnair and Jadoul, Rossel ed. Brussels, 1988.

Thank you for covering the classics - do you know why any comment with the hashtag suggestion is being removed? Have been suggesting for a while but I think YT is doing this or some filter is being applied. Anyways great vid so far I suggest Morozevich vs Topalov 1999 great Sicilian game

It's entirely appropriate for a chessplayer/promoter like you, Antonio, to highlight locally popular examples in the game's history who reach a much wider audience also. Similar to Winants, and also notably Belgian born, is the American George Koltanowsky from an earlier generation.

I do not think I have ever seen such a beautiful and truthful quote as this one of Hans Ree.

Can you please cover the tiebreaks between Magnus and Arjun?

Thanks for sharing. I am not a chess player, however, I love watching your videos, even better, trying to solve the "pause the video moments." Therefore, I am not familiar with perhaps, "lesser known" players. It is awesome that u and others keep their memories alive. Cheers.

To Karpov: What I remember and heard of him that he is like a non-venomous snake. Squeezing the life out of you by every move he makes. Just suffocating his opponents by absolute space dominance. Material might even be equal, but more often his opponents have zero useful moves. Zugzwang in the middle of the game, just brutal. Kasparow spoke in the highest notes about his fierce rival.
