rest in peace, Brent

With the right people you can feel the sincere version of Brent. Love you man, thank you for the wonderful music.

Rest in peace.

The only way we could deal with this loss is by launching a song. Rest in Peace, Brent Hinds.

Brent was real. Genuine.  The impact of his passing has just begun.  The painful part is none of the last few months had to go down the way it did. I don’t know many details, but my heart tells me this part of the situation is almost as painful as his death.  Brent Hinds had something special.  Not just his paying, but his energy, look, his body movements while feeling it, facial expressions, his smile, his keeping something so far out there and wild, yet so down to earth. He was a carpenter too. Salt of the earth man with a major gift from the Lord of all things man. Wow. God bless Brent Hinds. Honestly, we didn’t deserve him here. Neither did Mastadon apparently.  Not sure how to feel about the band now dude. I’m open minded though.

I love him and I am very touched by his passing. Such a shame. RIP handsome

Knowing that I will never get to see him play live kills me deeply. RIP B Hinds

Meet Brent at a meet and greet during the Crack the unheavely skye tour a few years back,he is really a cool dude...takes time to take a personal pic with fans and actually answers questions too. On top of that he is a guitar God!!!

Dirty B Hinds is the coolest cat currently on planet

Great interview- brents an unreal musician- on a whole nother level

Another great one! Brent’s playing has always been soulful and heartfelt!

So sorry for your loss, brother. Absolutely love his playing. Still can’t believe it.

Love that Brent needs an unconventional setting and a fellow colourful character to be real. Always cool to see that side of him, obviously got a lot of soul to be able to conjure those beautiful solo lines. Living legend obv

I came across these lads when they were Four Hour Fogger in 1997 ATL. I was just a senseless city kid.
Thanks Brent for not letting my teeth get kicked in. Sorry about pissing in your van. Sorry Bones for pissing on you. Happy for your success mate! -Rudi

His "spice" will be missed in Mastodon, having someone with diverse background is crucial for making interesting music. I hope Mastodon dont go full Metalocalypse without him.

the most in depth brent hinds you'll ever get.

RIP KING

Brent you will be sorely missed, such a great personality and player. Still can’t believe you’re gone. Rest easy brother

What a wonderful conversation! Really love how Brent is open and cheerful here, talking the shit about guitars and guitarplayers. God bless his soul.

He had me at salisbury steak, chicken fried steak, fried chicken and roast beef.

He's so alive.. He's closer into music than what happened in the past he always is
