The Brewers are so analytical that their philosophy horseshoed back around to old school baseball

Brewers fan here and October is always scary for us, then there's Halloween.

Update: they got swept in the NLCS

As a Brewers fan, this season has felt like a story. From Bob's passing to us dominating this summer. This season feels like a dream

I’ve never been a huge fan of baseball, but I’ve lived in milwaukee my whole life, and the brew crew are genuinely teaching so many people in milwaukee, myself included, to love baseball this season. If we win the World Series this year, it’s going to be magical in this city.

Being from Wisconsin, I'm of course a Brewers fan. And while I'm someone who has the sentiment that somehow we'll blow it in the playoffs, the sixth principle is maybe giving me some false hope. Granted, I haven't listened to many other broadcasts, but Uecker on the radio was something I recall hearing just about every day in the summer as I grew up, and maybe I took that for granted because when I think of sports commentary, Uecker is always there in the back of my mind. Brian Anderson is someone who, since watching more games, I immediately think of when I think of commentary, but just hearing that clip of Uecker for even a few seconds made nostalgia rush in for me. From everything I've heard, Uecker was an amazing person, and I'm sure the many people in that clubhouse that knew him for real would have even better stories to tell. Uecker Magic in 6

If you are a baseball fan, you love to watch the Brewers. Old school hitting to get on base, with the pitching to keep the opponents to stay in check. When you have teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, Cubs this team makes them look stupid. GO Brew Crew!!!

The other moneyball "market anamoly" the Brewers identified is defense. They will endlessly draft shortstops and centerfielders with the intention of playing them at the less respected defensive positions, like 2nd base, where Brice Turang is turning into a modern Joe Morgan, and the outfield corners, where Sal Frelick, a natural CF, is becoming one of the best defensive RFs in the majors. Better defenders at all positions cuts down on the bases the opposition can accumulate and augments the pitching staff without needing to purchase top flight pitchers

As a Wisconsin sports fan in general we're pretty used to good regular season runs followed up by disappointing post-seasons.  We're also used to being "small market teams" without the capital (monetary or otherwise) to directly compete with the large city powerhouses.  BUT, we're also used to strange voodoo magic can't be coincidence type scenarios too.  Bucks in 6 being the rallying cry to back to back come from behind in 6 victories to the 2021 title, Packers Superbowls at 27 (Starr, Farve, and Rodgers all had their first superbowls at 27 years old, Love turns 27 this year...).  Things sometimes just work out, and at this point all I hope for is a little Uecker Magic.

It is October 4th, 2025.   The Brewers beat the Cubs today, 9 to 3.  They did this without any home runs.  Instead,  singles and doubles carried the day (and good pitching).

I'm from WI and a big Brew Crew fan, I clicked on this on a whim, I have to say you did a phenomenal job of breaking down stats and explaining this magical season.  Well done!

The Brewers are Milwaukee. Hard working taking your lunch to work and getting the job done. I cant wait to see them holding that world series trophy for Uecker

spent my entire life listening to bob uecker.  we knew he wouldn't last forever,  but damn it was hard when he passed.  for the love of Mr. Baseball,  lets win it all for him. thanks bob for 42 years of being the voice of the brew crew.

Win or lose it’s been an extremely fun season to watch! This is the kind of baseball that made me fall for the sport 35 years ago.

I'm a brewers fan because of my dad. I grew up watching Fielder, Weeks, and all those guys. But this recent string of brewers teams has engrossed me in everything they do. I think of all the teams that I've seen, this one feels like it has the best shot of all of them to win it all

After all the advanced analytics who would have thought that putting the ball in play is unquantifiably better than striking out lol

Whats truly bonkers: this team at one point was missing all three opening day outfielders (Mitchell, Chourio, and Frelick) and was still winning games consistently. Mitchell's season ending injury sucks, but if he's healthy, it's not likely that Isaac Collins gets the consistent playing time that he's since earned. He's probably our best Rule 5 pick, ever.

This music has me feeling like an astronaut cruising through neon space on the way to destiny

I just want to say thank you for all your amazing content. You make some of the most insightful baseball content on YouTube and truly make videos that feel like they take me through a fascinating narrative that puts a team’s season into perspective. I know these videos must take a lot of work so I just wanted to express my gratitude for what you do.
