Mary I being denied to be buried next to her mother was heartbreaking. Instead, Mary had to share a tomb with Elizabeth on top of her, thus forever shadowing her. By all means, it was only Catherine of Aragon who loved her purely. History wasn’t kind to them and they both deserved better! 😔❤️‍🩹

I lowkey feel bad for the Tudor dynasty. All that drama from Henry VIII that still affects England to this day & their house only lasted a little over 100 years. And none of his children memorialized him because of how they & their moms were all treated.

When Charles II was dying his physicians gave him mummia mixed with chocolate the 1685 equivalent to human ashes mixed in chocolate milk.

Actually, Mary didn't want to be buried at Peterborough. She wanted her mother moved from there to be buried with Mary at Westminster.

What’s crazy is I just found out recently that I’m related to King Richard III, King Henry VII, and King Henry VIII (etc) all because of Elizabeth of York! And now I’m seeing all these videos 😂

And here we go again with another scary saga about the Tudors and the Stuarts. When I read about these dynasties, I am amazed that these rulers or nobles, to use a more appropriate term, could keep their deaths secret for four days while other family members assumed their regencies, not to mention the whole issue of embalming. Very interesting.
