A'ja is unbelievable. She is like Kareem. Unstoppable.

What surprised me most was the Liberty's defensive effort. Astier and Ionescu (recovering from injury) were defensive cones at the start of the year but this game, they and the whole team were giving full effort and hustling; pressing, deflecting the ball, and contesting hard. The Liberty's size and physicality bothered the Lynx too much. The Lynx's main scorers of Miles, McBride, and Williams were inefficient tonight.

Stewie came up big once again! Liberty can easily take this.

When GSV hits their 3's they are unstoppable. Fortunately for the rest of the league, they don't shoot like that every game. It will be tough for them to outscore teams throughout the playoffs. Time will tell. It is going to be interesting as the playoffs continue.

That was an atypical offensive performance from Golden State. I wouldn't count on them being able to consistently hit threes that way. Granted, Dallas hasn't been much competition for them this year and the Wings aren't likely to win the series but they have been able to beat the Fever, Liberty and Aces. They also played games with the Mystic and the Dream that they were winning but couldn't close. If Dallas had finished higher than a 7 seed, I think they'd have had a chance against anyone other than the Valkyries or the Lynx. My prediction: Liberty vs. Aces in the finals, with the Aces winning.

Gsv players play all out on defense because they know if they get tired they know they have someone on the bench to take over while they rest

Breanna Stewart is absolutely in her prime

Really nice summary/analysis of the first playoff day's action!
Great Brianna Stewart game as always.Almost assume it until a game proves otherwise at this point.Astier(High pick up points was a great point) and the Liberty bigs helping did a nice job against Miles again Fiebech difference is also so true/another really good point.
For Dream game their 3rd quarter/2nd half D was terrific.Perimeter D &Hillman and Bonner battling the larger Mystics bigs both included.And Bonner still having enough in the tank for that great 3rd qtr on offense while doing so at her age is awesome.
Will be watching these 2 series closest for game 2.Liberty shooting for a bit of a dip/things to tighten up late(50-50-90(ish) shooting for a game is wild).
& if Washington can get their turnovers/Dream pts off turnovers under control. Were a defensive board away from having the ball down 7 w/ 3 min to go still.(Maybe a bit more Mcmahon to match physicality w/ Dream's D)

The Valkeries Wings game was just a case of 2 teams shooting out of their minds but in opposite directions.

Good show, very professional!

Keep up the good work Noa. Just taking a moment to appreciate all this WNBA coverage we get now, I've been a fan of the league since the 2010's and back then there was practically nothing, not even TV studio analysts lol. We've come a long way.

None of these teams can stop Playoff Aces. Ring 4 incoming.

@therealdarrell282 5 days ago

Go Aces. The 702 wants another chip on the Las Vegas Strip.

Great episode. Always a chance with Stewie. All wins defense was key. I just don’t think White is right coach for Fever. Team looked disjointed & lost at times on defense. Even Rucco stated no one was moving on offense to help ball handler. They didn’t cut nor set proper screens. Aja left no doubt about MVP. GSV may win it all with that crowd.

@jboy2621 6 days ago

Golden State is a contender. They could win it all.

@robertheath1429 6 days ago

I think the Valkeries are the team to win. They are playing team ball. And have the best coach. IMHO

I sat on my couch for ten hrs of women's basketball 🏀 two of my primary teams took L’s (Wings & Mystics) I also, like the Valkyries so shout-out to them. PB is my goat; needs a ton of 🆘 help 😢. I look for Mystics to take game 2. Idc what Jess does it is time to separate from her level of basketball.
