Actual video title: 11 of the most horrible RPGs

Starting off the horrible games list with RAID Diddy Legends. Nice, RAID is terrible!

At last, an appropriate choice of video to sponsor for Raid whatever

Talking about horrible RPGs ... doing an ad for Raid Shadow Legends. Oh the irony!

fitting having RAID Sh___y Legends as a sponsor for this video

I did mostly like Restricted Area. At times it has decent atmosphere and music and the levels - in spite of the game's repetitive nature - also look decent enough. Gameplay worked well enough for me. I prefer these kinds of death animations. They aren't as good as Diablo 2 or Tower of Kalemonvo, but it's a choice that I can appreciate. Otherwise I don't think I had too much trouble with the gameplay, but I also never tried playing Kenshi (Kenji?) as melee. I ended up with dual pistols.

It can be hard at times though. There is one mission where running speed upgrades are basically mandatory and the last mission
will usually require some levelling in side missions as monsters there will be a few levels above your character.

Can't speak to the version you were using, but I have had my fair share of trouble with an old german retail version. The first time I tried to get it to run some years ago, the last patch version caused mini freezes during inventory interaction, whereas during my latest install attempt the 1.10 patch kept installing random versions of itself and earlier versions had some serious issues. Never had such a weird problem with any patch before.....

But overall I find it to be a decent ARPG. Feels like a 6.5/10 to me. Not quite there, but I like that it switches it up in terms of setting, equipment and so on. That definitely helps.

i think ravens cry deserves a deeper dive...

One upside to Legend of Alon'Dar

= Co-Op rpg. It has 2 player once you get the next party character. (Green dreadlocks dude)

I like this series because some forgotten game might show up that I played back in the day and forgot about because I played alot of small or obscure games back when internet was in it's infancy.

I absolutely loved Mistmare when it released and it was indeed broken with game breaking bugs that didnt allow you to complete the game.
Im sure you are able to switch to KB+ mouse movement in this game instead of point and click so not sure how you didnt figure that out. Its got tons of customization but it is very half baked in many ways and not a complete product.
Anyway the premise, setting and story are amazing and i just loved the whole fighting styles gameplay and harvesting and summoning monsters. I think it could have been a great game if allowed more resources and development time.

I really like this series as it covers forgotten games and I am tired of all channels talking about the latest games. Furthermore, some of them I played myself when I was younger. So kudos for the series which I am a longtime fan and keep digging for forgotten "treasures" !

I recently had to think of some old russian RPGs that are pretty much abandonware:
Goldenland (Heath - The Unchosen Path)
Goldenland 2 (also as Zlatogorye 2)
Goldenland 2 - Cold Heaven (stand-alone expansion)
The second game is supposedly significantly better. I don't remember if any of the Konung games were ever part of the series, but they are apparently somewhat comparable.

Restricted area is awesome  when you xan get it to work

Making a list like this while promoting RAID is certainly a choice…

8:56 good thing the CALVARY has arrived!! this is already funny as hell

Me seeing a new episode of "Obscure RPGs" titled HORRIBLE, wondering how bad these games could be?
Game 1 - Mistmare.
Yep, this will be another masterpiece of a video😂 have my like!

Amazed that game can still be found!

I actually remember Restricted Area ... was kinda, mostly weird, like Cyberpunk Diablo. Didn't think anyone would ever come to it. Tbh, for most of my life, I thought I remembered something wrong. Nobody ever heard of that thing.

well he also wanted us to suffer with raid shadow legends, mf

Dont know if youve done it already but The Kingdom Under Fire series might be one for you to look at.
