Y'all are stressin' me out, haha! Here is a link to a poll where you can vote on English Dub or Subs. https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkx0tKqRR9VJxxgD02yWKJkvjJUZOEI_SPl

"Chika cannot be cock-blocking this constantly" is like saying "Wile E. Coyote's gotta get that goddamn bird eventually, right?"

Btw Miyukis Dad's Japanese VA is the same as Dios. So its even more hilarious.

This dub was so good, especially the narrator, specifically the narrator

honestly English dub and sub of kaguya do such VASTLY different things and delivery that you can honestly consider them separate shows. so if you're gonna switch to dub I highly suggest you watch it from episode one again. at least in you're own time.

the Dub announcer is an entirely different character from the Sub. still funny in his own right but different from the humor the rest of the show is written around. without spoiling, there is a moment were the Sub subverts the dead serious commentary that hits way harder because in the Dub it just blends in with the rest of his hijinks.

Ohhh, Fun Fact about this dub; Hayasaka (the maid) is voiced by Amalee!!

The fact that they BOTH like each other in a cat ear head band is nice.

The reason there’s no fluent French speakers in this dub is probably because the studio that produced the dub wanted to keep all of their talent in-house, meaning only actors based in Texas.

Additionally the original Japanese audio didn’t have fluent French either, even to the point where they weren’t even speaking real French but instead gibberish that sounded French. Don’t know if the dub is the same way in some areas as well.

"she gonna' use this for blackmail." Just, the certainty and matter of fact attitude in the delivery. He is certain that she will and that this is normal behavior.

Btw, the maid is voiced by Amalee. Yes, the one that does covers (and did some Honkai covers recently). I believe you know her, if I remember correctly your reaction to her Oracle cover.

Honestly, with the sub vs dub debate for this anime, it’s really hard to say since they’re both really good. I’d say do both if you have the time for it! The narrators for both sub and dub are both so great! Sub narrator is over the top, but dub narrator is MEGA EXTRA AND MEME HEAVY and I love it.

Also, Chika is, indeed, best girl. 😎👌(Hayasaka, the maid, tho….is definitely tied for best girl with Chika).

20:00 omg the shock in your face during that whole sequence lol
I had experiences just like that during high school, so it unearthed some long forgotten feelings of panic in me when I watched it hehe

The biggest difference between the the JP and the EN is that the narrator is a character

I will say that the French exchange bit was admirably captured in the Dub, even if I still personally prefer the sub. Ironically enough, the biggest thing I prefer in the sub is how Shirogane has a totally different, tighter-strung feel.

@DMTTCPAMCAP2B1QQAM 3 years ago

why did you switch from sub to dub?

@Gidi66 3 years ago

From what I recall the English narrator is the same guy who voices Whis, people disliked him due to him basically using the same voice for both characters but in love is war he just speeds up his rate at witch he talks, I didn't really notice it as I just got use to the way he talks.

Mann,the sub for this eps is soo good.
Especially chika rap

Hayasaka (the maid) is probably my favorite character. I’m not sure if you are familiar with the Vtuber/YouTube singer AmaLee but she voices Hayasaka in this
