Harri, This opened the show in Brisbane Australia in 2014. Barry Gibb was in the audience and like everyone else was blown away by it. One of the reasons you don’t hear groups covering The Bee Gee’s is that NO ONE can match their harmonies and falsetto. The genus of Bruce Springsteen is that he uses his creativity and puts his own spin on the song and pay homage to The Bee Gee’s with a beautifully unique rendition of Staying Alive. Bruce has always had a knack of making a cover sound like he wrote it.

This is why the man is called the Boss.

I read that Barry Gigg wrote a thank you letter to Bruce saying it was the best arrangement of his song!💗💗💗

Barry Gibb heard about it and a month after this, covered "I'm On Fire' at one of his live shows.

As a lifelong BeeGees lover, Bruce did it proud! ❤

And the crazy thing is ... this was the show opener! There was still three hours of concert following this. Amazing.

Bruce does it again in his own special way!

Wow, great performance, the song is iconic but Bruce is brave transforming the song

That's real talent when you can tear a song apart and put your own stank on it...Loved the original version and I loved this one too!!! Great reaction ... thanks

You don’t see a lot of trombone in rock…brilliant cover

it's stuff like this that makes love him so much. he's untouchable. who else could take a disco classic and have it sound like that?

I'm a big Bee Gee fan, but I must admit this was an excellent cover.

absolutely the best performance in the world in the last 10 years that isn't Dave Grohl and his tribute shows. This is on repeat 10x God Bless talent!

He played this in Barry Gibb’s hometown

The song is iconic already and Bruce brought his own interpretation to it. Absolutely great! Barry gibb I believe would be happy with this interpretation.

Now that is something I will not be able to unhear.

This is about as good as The Boss gets. Just wonderful. Apparently Barry Gibb loves this version of his song too, which is the ultimate compliment.

As someone else already said, I'm a huge Bee Gees fan, and no one compares to them. But this is a fantastic rendition to an iconic Bee Gees song by an incredible artist, Bruce Springsteen!
