In this video, I introduce AAPA Pro, explain the idea behind the system, and show what makes it different from traditional and mount-specific polar alignment solutions.
AAPA Pro is designed to work with virtually any equatorial mount, making it a universal solution for astrophotographers who use different mounts or want a single automated polar alignment system that isn't tied to a specific ecosystem.
With support for payloads up to 35 kg / 77 lbs, AAPA Pro is designed for everything from portable astrophotography setups to larger imaging rigs.
But one feature makes AAPA Pro particularly unique:
AAPA Pro is the only automated polar alignment system compatible with ZWO ASIAir.
This means you can integrate automated polar alignment directly into an ASIAir-based astrophotography workflow, without having to switch to a separate alignment ecosystem.
AAPA Pro is also compatible with N.I.N.A. and can be controlled through dedicated iOS and Android apps, giving you multiple ways to integrate it into your existing setup.
The goal behind AAPA Pro is simple: make accurate polar alignment fast, accessible, and repeatable, regardless of which equatorial mount you use.

- Would have been nice if it had a power IN and power OUT with a 5,5*2,5mm DC port connection so you can power this AAPA first and loop to your mount resulting in a neat cable management
- I understood you will have top and bottom plates available towards compatibility of the ZWO AM* mounts. Fantastic that it will have the holes for a ZWO puck at the bottom and the same 3 holes on the top plate. Hope it will have also the 3 additional holes that can hold the disassembled top ring from a ZWO PE200 pier extension :-) But now, how do we go in those details in the preordering process?
