I have a Belgian Malinois shepherd, and she is 1 year old. I love my Maligator very much.

As I'm watching this, my Malinois is sleeping, laying directly on top of my feet. I adopted Rayn from the local animal shelter when he was about 7 months old. He was basically feral. He didn't know how to walk on a leash, wouldn't look to me for anything. He destroyed several pairs of shoes, some of my clothes, my fan, my sofa, destroyed the interior of my car & more. It took him over 5 months to learn to heel & he still fights me every step of the way on our walks. He's openly defiant refusing to learn some things. He's frustrating to say the least. His defiant behavior makes him look stupid, but he learned to unlock the deadbolt and let himself outside. During the 9 months I've had him, I've wondered what the actual F did I do & have searched a few times for a Malinois rescue to turn him over to. Yet, now he's turned a corner & is looking to me for guidance. He reminds me of a dog I had 25 years ago that was the most insane dog but after training & him growing & maturing, he was the best dog ever. I see Rayn's story mirroring that dog. High risk equals high reward.
I'm a widowed senior female & I want a dog that's going to be a protector. Little fru-fru toy breeds don't fill that category. I've always been a large dog breed person anyways. Last week at his vet appointment, he weighed 103 lbs.
He's coming around, has stopped destroying things, looks to me, waits on me, accepts his training. He has a wonderful sweet side as displayed by him laying next to me on the sofa now. He moved from laying on my feet to snuggling next me.
Rayn, we're on a wonderful adventure & journey with each other. I love you, boy. ❤

We have a rescue Dobie. Mallinois are beautiful, and I hate to see that lots of them will end up in rescue centres, because idiots get them ,and don't know how to train and handle them. Thanks Internet

Ive had to retire my GSD mobility service dog due to a severe accident (hes ok now after several surgeries, but has ptsd regarding speeding vehicles coming toward him). He will be with me until the end of his natural life. He is my soul mate and was my stabilizer. Ive recently adopted an 8 week old female Malinois. Until 10 weeks I will focus on bonding, socialization, and leash work. Starting at 10 weeks we will focus on obedience with a wee harness. At 12 weeks it will get intense for her and I,m hopeful she will love it. Professional training begins. It will be daily, hours long. By the time she is a year her job when harness on is to be my stabilizer, my brace to get up when i fall, go where I go, protect me from threats. When harness off….well Im glad I live in a forested area.

My Mallinois/German Shepherd with 13% pit bull, is very chill. 5-month-old puppy. She plays but not very high energy. She chills and sleeps alot. But she can be hyper but doesn't last long.

Outstanding dogs! Mine keeps me busy in retirement! Straight up FAFO dog! When people ask me where to get one, first thing I ask them, are you still working? Yes, get a Gold fish!

@nunya-biz-nez 8 months ago

Technically they were bred for heading.... working hard all day to that transfers well to some other jobs but they are not bred to sleep at you feet while you read a book fireside

@AlenBroughman 6 months ago

I'm listening to some exaggeration I had two dobies they sleep just like the Malinois in other words dogs sleep the same. I've had aHuskie Norwegian ELK Hound and a mutt , they all slept the same. They weren't analyzing what they were going to do the next day.😊 Their just sleeping like all Dogs do every day. I enjoyed this video very much would 💕 to have a Mel but I'm 75 I don't believe I could keep up with
this wonderful Dog 🐶 that gave us .

I raised mine from a very early pup. However his mom was on my ranch and id get to spend time with him while he was still dependent on his mom. Hes a year old now and he only hates the magpies that mock him when we are out feeding the cattle. 😂

@MGreaz 8 months ago

I took a high energy mal and turned her into a pretty chill girl. But shoot, if your in the house or the yard and I am not around you have 2 options. She will like you or she will bark. If she barks gtfo or your going to regret.

Some of this Ai video is wrong esp the raise your voice and the mirror it. No they dint their intelligence level they know the did something bad and it inly takes once maybe twice and it omdoesnt happen again. 2nd at the end of the day they are wild animals and pack animals and need a leader the faster you can establish yourself as the leader of the pack the better. When it comes to you and only you. That doesn't work with other ppm places or things. Their intelligence level dictates what happens they plan so far ahead its insane. Every move is calculated and already planned out. The response is already loading just waiting to be implemented before you even realize it.

We wake up at 5am every morning(max and me) 😊. After a 2 mile jog (mostly to keep me sane), we train and walk home while he happily sniffs everything. BTW, Max was found tied out on a field. He was about 1.5 yrs old and abandoned.
