Brazil may be getting closer to seeing a new national aircraft take shape. 🇧🇷✈️ The ATL-100, developed by the Brazilian company Desaer, has entered a new phase of development, with the expectation of completing the engineering and starting the construction of the first prototype in 2027.
But the project is not only attracting attention from the civilian market. Desaer has already presented the ATL-100 in initiatives related to the future replacement of the Brazilian Air Force's C-95 Bandeirante and C-97 Brasília, in addition to maintaining contacts with foreign air forces. The company has also studied configurations focused on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), with the possibility of integrating radars and sensors.
In this video, you will learn about the main characteristics of the ATL-100, its transport capacity, operation on runways with limited infrastructure, rear ramp, possible military configurations and the next steps for the aircraft to finally leave the project and become a real aircraft.
Could the ATL-100, in the future, serve the Brazilian Air Force and repeat part of the success story of the Bandeirante family? And the most curious thing: this time, the new Brazilian project is not from Embraer.
