I was fortunate enough to see Duane and Dickie do this tune, about 6 weeks before Duane died.  Memorable.

Man so blessed to be able to witness this last night in person. These 2 doing a proper Elizabeth Reed, my favorite ABB song. Derek and Duane really got into it up there. Pure magic

The best rock n' roll instrumental song of all time, performed by two great guitarists with deep connections to the song, the band, and the songwriter.  Magical!

UPDATE: RIP, Dickey Betts. Your music lives on.

Derek and Susan seem like they've been partying and playing for so many years they have the party under control quite well, while Duane here seems like he could use a glass of water :face-green-smiling:. But they are both amazing and this is so great.

Glad and appreciated to see the Allman Brothers Revival

Takes a lot of heart to stand next to Derek on this

So satisfying to see this great composition skillfully played by the younger generation of the Allman Dynasty.  Bravo!

I’ve seen Duane play 20 years ago and was even lucky enough to jam with him on his dad’s guitar.  He really has nailed down his dad’s style since then, the Arabian scale, volume swells, even did the finger tap one time as a cool homage, Derek liked that.  10 times more points for having to solo after Derek.  I might have been too starstruck.

Derek Trucks once said in an interview “ I grew up between a Les Paul guitar and a Hammond B 3 organ. What a awesome place to start a musical career rock on forever

This is the best matchup I’ve seen with Derek. Both cut from the same cloth, both great players.what a joyous listen.😊🎉❤

Both drummers are amazing

Mr. TRUCKS,GIVING HIS REPLACED(Allman Bros.) Dad's,SON A Lesson , About Dickies Signature Song!! ( Rambling Man , I Know.)😮

Nephew and son carrying the torch ❤

duane would be so proud

Very rare to see a bass solo with TTB.  Brandon kicks ass.

I learned a lot of my guitar style from the orig ABB. It's so great to see these direct descendants carry the torch into the future. Long live ABB!!!

How cool is Derek smiling on Duane Betts playing! 😊

In memory of Dickie Betts, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed is perfect.  I can’t think of two better guitarists Derek Trucks (Butchs nephew) and Duane (Dickies son) to play this.  Miss Elizabeth Reeds grave is located in Rose Hill Cemetery with Gregg, Duane, Berry, Dickie and Butch.  In earlier days the guys would write songs in the cemetery and as a matter of fact Dickie Betts wrote this very song.

Holy Crap, it is incredible ! Duane Betts is his father 40 years ago.

I cried at the end of this.
