Here is a performer who truly enjoys singing for her self and is least interested in promoting her self in public. The down side of this is that not too many people are aware of this beautiful voice which is soulful and you keep asking for more once you listen to her.

Her music must have been played often both on ALL India Radio because she was the station director Delhi .

I guess all India SD.
So those who still watch DD National . They mus have heard her often.

I met her few times at Seminars at NCPA . Here I found she was highly respected.

It is unfortunate that this melodiously haunting voice isn’t much well known, chaya g’s voice is one of a kind, the way her voice is filled with so much pain and longing, if a lost soul was perhaps ever trapped on earth and it cried out for help it would sing in chaya g’s voice, haunted and broken.

Chayaji didn’t get the required exposure in Hindi film song world as well as gazal world, despite of high talent nd sweet voice….may b wrested interest worked against her. but now she get it in social media ❤
