Alan always brings such a maturity and rationality to things. Great pod today.

Great episode. Alan coming in with some much needed spot on analysis, as he pretty much always does.

Alan speaks so much sense . Reality is you try and adopt 1980s tactics you will come unstuck. Martin has to realise it’s not 2002 . Hoofing the ball up the park and hoping for the best is embarrassing. We are giving up so many chances as we are not focusing on keeping possession. You give up possession you will give up chances it isn’t rocket science. My son asked the question why is Martin O’Neill manager he looks as if he dosent have a clue ? Got to say it was hard to argue with him . It looks like tactics that the local pub team would deploy. Maybe Martin should focus on playing football

Alan has hit the nail on the head, was brutal under Nancy, he tried to implement a style of play which obviously didnt work, right now this is worse, no plan whatsoever

Next 9 x matches over a 29 day period. So a game every 3/4 days. A lot of physicality required by the squad. I wonder how the older squad members - CCV, McGregor, Ox, Forest and Tierney especially will cope. When are AJ and Jota due back?

I love Mr. Martin O'Neill but he'll be approaching 75 years of age and as we're now into Autumn and imagine a cold, rain and windswept journey to Pittodrie isn't going to serve Mr. O'Neill's health much good. After securing a unique double Mr. O'Neill should have been allowed to stand down and spend time with his family and friends and the Celtic should have had numerous managerial options, I've recommended at least three.

This coaching/management team have a real skill for turning really good players into average ones... this has to be down to formation and wrong positioning

The sense of entitlement is breathtaking. Celtic for 14 years had no competition in Scotland and went on a winning streak, they got lucky. As soon as they played in Europe they failed miserably. Now that the competition in Scotland is beginning to compete well with them they are starting to struggle.

Alan should be working at Celtic

Saying this is worse than the Nancy period is horrific, but sadly true.

these two were telling us the league was over for months and Martin couldn't do it ,now we have to listen to them again being experts.

These discussions are nothing but scaremongering rubbish. Back Martin and stop over-analysing every single moment. We are the champions and top of the league, you know? And Martin won the double last season; remember that much? Give it a BREAK
