Very Interesting Hobby.

Go Genome !!
Well, here's another guy going to give it a try and patch some work jeans. They are FR's and they are expensive so I'm fixing them up. wish me luck. Great video.
i've repaired jeans before but never in this manner. I really think this is a great way to repair and a lot faster than the way I used before, I always took out the seams. Thanks.
This looks like the way that the laundromat that my dad uses patches up their customers jeans. I always wondered how they did it! I've been considering taking my jeans with worn inner thighs to them to get fixed, but now that I've seen your tutorial here on how to do it, I can fix them myself! NEAT! Thanks for sharing your technique! ~~Bee
This is the video iv been looking for on how to patch knees on my work pants. Those iron on patches just don't work. Thanks again. I'll be watching this video many times
Thank you so much! This is a great video you made. I now realize my sewing machine is totally inadequate!! But, at least I know what to look for in the next one I buy.
When I'm mending holes in my son's pants I use a piece of cardboard so I don't have to hold my hand underneath there then I can use both hands for pinning. ☺️
Thank you Marci for the incredible video. I use heat and bond or steam a seam. Then, I just go over it with the darning on my jenome, 7330. I really appreciated your application. However, it's a little bit more aesthetically nice. It always seems like there's always a better way to do something less work more efficient.Thank you God bless.
Hello Marci, I'm a tailor here in the UK (ex-tailor to be precise), and I use a 3 step zigzag close together to darn a tear, first going down the central part of the rip and then one on each side making sure the stitches overlap. I find that this makes an even more invisible repair
I know the goal is for the patch to be unnoticeable, but for the purposes of a tutorial video, it would help if you used a contrasting thread, so we could better see the length, direction, and density of your stitches.
Great way to patch jeans!! I have been using a very similar approach. I would love to add one suggestion. I take a skateboard deck ( pinning board ?) and slide it into the leg, which gives a surface to flatten the pant leg easier, and bounce the pins back up without distorting the shape or pinning the back (or stabbing fingers). Any hard surface that fits in a pant leg would work.
