I love her!!! Her story going to France with mom is off the chain. 😂

I don't know. Somebody saw one once.

The story about her in target with her mom and she asked for a pill for a headache.   I can see me doing the same.

If you are able to take care of aging parents you are blessed.

Kathleen Madigan is the BEST.
She is my roadtrip playlist - no way I'm napping across the white lines!

I've been on both sides. Pediatric home healthcare nurse (good people) and caregiver for my sister who had a stroke. Then,  my elderly neighbor fell and broke his hip and he  wouldn't tell anyone how to contact his family so they could help. No one to sign contracts, pay the bills, facilities trying to release him into my care. Another neighbor contacted his church (leaving his house to the church) got involved to help and contacted his family and they are now involved. Yea!  His plan was that I would stop working to take care of him (not), so he better not fire his family and start calling me to change his pull-up if he does.

Reality check. Need lots of family and $$$ to be old. Vote Blue because the billionaires don't need to care and most of us need Medicare and Medicaid to provide medical,, meds and care.

Seeing her live with my old mom was one of the best nights of my.life.😂😂😂😂

We are the old parents now! (81 and 90) We’ve both been through this with our parents (now deceased of course) so I sent this to my daughter. I hope she can laugh through whatever is ahead. We are blessed with good health so far.

Only child here...it's a struggle...loved them..but overwhelming.

Your honest wonderful family stories are just fabulous and honest! I was from St Louis and obsessed!

Kathleen Madigan is my absolute favorite comedian.  She is the best!

Valuable discussion.  Nobody could ever have convinced me just how difficult caring for infirm parents would be, really.  I am 56 I’m incredibly fortunate that my mid-80s parents are still here, but… wow.  One thing that I have learned is that I absolutely “care” and I am a “giving” person, but a “care-giver” I am not.  We are insanely fortunate to have money to deal with everything, and thank GOD - I have no clue how people without resources can do this.  Still, the worry and stress is taking years off my life, I am certain - blessings and best wishes to everyone who is dealing with this situation themselves 🙏❤️🙏

My grandmother put her ice cream cone in her purse to save it for later.

This is better than most of Kathleen’s other interviews, except the Tom Poppa one’s.

Pain is inevitable…suffering is optional

I love this! Love Kathleen Madigan and I think you are a great journalist.

So relatable!
How do normal people take care of themselves and elderly parents? … lately in our country, credit cards. What a mess! 😢

LOVE Kathleen... She's a real one & a lovely human... My Mama passed in September, so thank you both for helping me grieve & move on w/ laughter.

LOVE Kathleen, great talk. I've don'e the parent time already. I'm learning now about my own, 74 years old, care situation. This was helpful, especially with Kathleen. Thanks to you both!

We only children do struggle. It can be overwhelming. But don't regret it.
