All of them sit under glass, with an inventory number and a catalog entry. And on some of the labels, it's honestly written that the object's purpose is unknown. One changes color from green to red, and the explanation was found only under an electron microscope — particles just 70 nanometers across are dispersed through the glass. Another reliably predicted eclipses, and someone bothered to engrave a user's instruction manual on it. There's also a metal sheet listing hiding places for tons of silver, and not a single one of those caches has ever been found. And an object that half the world takes to be a depiction of a pilot in a rocket comes with an inscription made by the very same people who created it — and that inscription mentions no craft and no flight. We break down 7 artifacts and look at what about them is genuinely unexplained, and what was explained long ago.

No conspiracy theories. Just real facts — because the truth here is far more unsettling than any fiction.
