Developments on the ground in the northern West Bank indicate a continued escalation of security and military activity at a high pace, with a clear focus on the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nablus. The past few hours have witnessed a series of raids and arrest campaigns targeting young men, released prisoners, and other residents in several towns and refugee camps.

The military operations are intertwined with the extensive closures imposed on the Nablus area, severely impacting the movement of residents, students, and merchants due to the prolonged closure of main roads and checkpoints. These measures have also affected the educational process, with several schools switching to distance learning.

Meanwhile, settlement activity continues to exert a significant influence on daily life in the West Bank, whether through road construction related to settlements or through attacks targeting Palestinian agricultural properties, particularly with the start of the olive harvest season.

The simultaneous occurrence of arrests, closures, and settlement attacks reflects a multifaceted pressure on Palestinian areas, where security considerations are intertwined with issues related to land, movement, agriculture, and the daily lives of residents.

As the West Bank enters another week of heightened tensions, the northern governorates remain at the heart of events, with ongoing raids, restrictions, and a heavy presence of Israeli forces and settlers in several sensitive areas. For more details, we are joined by Al-Ghad's correspondent in Nablus, Khaled Badir.
