This is a first for the channel - PAVAROTTI PEOPLE!

Yes you read right, a Pavarotti reaction! This was a request made by my school friend Mo, a long and good time friend who told me that he always felt an emotional connection to watching Pavarotti perform "Nessun Dorma" - a song which most of us will be familiar with but honestly apart from the big bit at the end, I've NEVER watched this!

Needless to say, I can see why this is such a legendary performance and is SOOO epic! And I'll be honest, I think Dimash has helped to broaden my musical tastes as I don't know whether this would have been on my radar at all before him!

What do you think of this performance? Or Opera in general??? 👀🤔

One of the best reactions. I have no idea why there is so few others which give so little. You do not need to worship Pavarotti to to give him credit. Thank you for this.

He's absolutely the best. Not just singing Nessum Dorma, but any aria he performed. Thanks Luke for this incredible performance!

He was the GOAT. If your eyes don't water and the hair on your arms stand up, you have no soul.

He sang this at the opening of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy. He passed away in 2007 of pancreatic cancer. Check out The Three Tenors concert held in Los Angeles in 1994. You will have a better appreciation. Well done.

King of the high C. He said he always went on stage to die - gave everything.

The look on his face at the end is his look of determination for victory as vincero means "I will win"

This is from Puccini's Opera. It's the story of a princess who refuses to be married. To discourage men pursuing her she states that anyone wanting her must answer riddles but anyone that tries and fails is beheaded. She kills many many men until Pavarotti's character comes along. He's loved her for very long and he successfully answers the riddles anonymously. She's absolutely furious and announces that no one is allowed to sleep that night until he is found and brought to her so that she could kill him.

This song is him somewhat mocking her "Nesun Dorma" = "none shall sleep" and announcing that he will win. The last two lines that were very powerful actually mean "I will win".

Gorgeous opera and breathtaking song.

many people have said that even if you dont know what he is singing about, you cant take your eyes off him. He could sing the cook book and it would be wonderful.

Comparing Dimash with Pavarotti (for me, everybody can see it differently) is like comparing a small rock with our galaxy. Lucianos vibrato cuts through my soul like a hot knife and leaves me open and vulnerable. There is no other singer in no other genre (and i am very open to a lot of genres) who does that to me with such ease. Anyways, great reaction, it was a pleasure to watch. Greetings from Germany.

The Greatest. RIP Luciano.

Oh! Be sure to check out the size of that orchestra! It is so large that all the members can not see the conductor. There are two video screens above, they are not for the audience, they are for the orchestra to watch and follow the instructions of the conductor. I could be wrong, but I believe the conductor is Zubin Meta, the most prestigious conductor in the world. So here you have the very best opera singer, the very best conductor of the very best orchestra, and the very best choir. And, it's free! A gift to the world.

A very stunning performance. Pavarotti is the one and only tenor for me. I get very emotional when I watch him perform this. I watched him do his live final performance of this. I think it was the Turin Olympics back in 06. His facial expressions just really cut deep. Heartbreaking 😢 R.I.P big man

Pavarotti was absolutely incredible, for me he owned this song ❤. Dimash actually turned down a position with the Astana Opera Company to carve his career in more of a neoclassical direction, and thank goodness that he did, we probably wouldn’t ever have heard of him. Of course Olimpico is definitely more opera and Passione has more opera than a mixed feel, both absolutely incredible performances. Thank you for sharing your reaction to Pavarotti.❤
