I watched your video of how to make the magazine glue book last night and made one today…I started the day with some upsetting news and went into my studio and got lost in the process while I worked through all the thoughts that were swirling around. I look forward to doing more…very meditative and cathartic. And I have a big canvas that I need to work on that is waiting for color decisions to be made so this will no doubt provide a place to help me figure that out👍🏻 Great content! Thanks so much for sharing 😊

Thank you! I’ve had so much fun over the last few days with the magazine journals! I used an old catalog with really soft, non-glossy paper. I can’t wait to fill it up! 😎

Thank you for sharing (I just watched your other "how to" video)--this process is very liberating!
I agree that since the altered magazine is not like an expensive sketchbook/paper, you're less scared to experiment and can "play" (i.e. get messy) freely! I am an oil painter/mixed media artist and love applying texture to my work too but often get scared and stuck when I face a squeaky clean white page or a new canvas.
Warm wishes from Tokyo, Japan 🗾💫
