Supertramp, Chicago, Queen, Steely Dan, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, we had the best music in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

I miss bands. Actual bands that play their own instruments and sing with their true voices.

The entire album is brilliant — Breakfast in America

The song is about indoctrination being told how you should act, live and breathe as your growing up and then one day something snaps inside of you and you question who you are and the things you were taught to be.

Brilliant reaction!

My youngest son is 1 year older than you. When he was 15 he came home telling me about Supertramp & asking if I had heard of them. I laughed & said, I bought the album when I was pregnant with you; it's in my bedroom. BONUS - he also found my Jimi Hendrix music.

The singer was sent away from home to a boarding school in England. This experience inspired this song.

When the guy looks like Jesus you know it's gonna rock

Radical is what they are labeling us today ... this band gave us a warning... the Elites want us surfs own think nothing

Acually, the whole album, "Breakfast in America", is a banger.  Take your time....  love Supertramp.👍

This struck me so hard as a young woman. An anthem for all free thinkers.

one of the most underated bands of all time

I'm 58, and the times were soooo different back then. The talent was pure and didn't need machines to make it sound good. The songs were actually representative of the mindset back then. I sure miss those days. Thank you for putting these up.

This is one of my favorite groups of the 70s, this one, Goodbye Stranger, Take the Long Way Home, Breakfast in America, Bloody Well Right... there's a bunch and the lyrics are *all fantastic on top of such great music.
Man that saxophone lays me flat every time.

"There are times when all the world's asleep
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man
Won't you, please, please, tell me what we've learned?
I know it sounds absurd
Please tell me who I am

Now watch what you say
Or they'll be calling you a radical
A liberal
Oh fanatical, criminal

Oh, won't you sign up your name?
We'd like to feel you're acceptable
Respectable
Oh presentable, a vegetable"

This always gets me! The conformity/killing of new visions in human form, with such potential to make the world a better place for everyone just because instead of adressing one-self hard questions, it is often way easier to just pass on the problematic burden of reality into a younger generation.

Still have my Breakfast vinyl.  Whole album is a masterpiece ☘️🇺🇲

Supertramp’s songs are eargasm’s. Brilliant music! 👊🏼

Try “Give A Little Bit”. That will be the true test if you ever heard Supertramp at any point in time.

As a parent, give your child this 70's music..

I'm 62 years old and I've been hearing this song since I was in high school, but this is the first time I've "listened" to it. Wow.

"Dreamer" by Supertramp is equally incredible
