The scale of the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge is absolutely insane. A 1,420-meter main span suspended 625 meters above the Beipan River means the real challenge wasn’t simply building a huge bridge—it was controlling every part of the construction process in an environment where access, wind, height, and precision all become major engineering problems. I’m especially fascinated by how the main cable, suspenders, and 22,000-ton steel truss deck had to be assembled and aligned at such an extreme height. The fact that the bridge can reduce the journey across the canyon from around 70 minutes to roughly one minute makes the engineering even more meaningful. This is one of those projects where the construction method is almost as impressive as the finished bridge itself.

Marvellous achievement no doubt, but the commentary is completely out of synch with the images all the way through e.g. the commentary is of bridge parts being moved whilst the image shown is of concrete being laid. This makes it almost impossible to watch, as your eyes are telling you one thing whilst your ears are telling you something completely different.
