Picked up a Saroo last month. My first time delving into Saturn library. Been having so much fun! Amazing system.

I'm still genuinely astounded to this day at how good VF2 looks on the Saturn.

If my parents weren't such 'late adopters' when it came to consoles back in the day, I almost certainly would've grabbed one. Sadly (depending on your point of view) the Saturn was dead in the water by the time my parents decided to welcome the light of 32 bits into our home.

That Sega Rally footage is an unbelievable flex

I used to watch the whole intro to games because the graphics were such a quantum leap up. It was like watching a scifi movie.

One of my favourite games (and also an exclusive to the system) is, AMOK. The game has held up especially well, fun game.

Happy to say I played most of these. I’d have added Athlete Kings but it’s a fine list.

What I’d give to be that 11 year old in 96 blissfully playing his Saturn without a care in the world again

I would recommend playing Battle Garegga 10,times.

Too me the Sega Saturn still seems like a next gen console.
I remember reading about it in magazines, before release.
Never got to own one. But I did borrow a friend’s for a week.
👍🇬🇧

Die hard arcade was a favorite for multiplayer games on my Saturn at the time. While short, it's jam packed with fun and its gameplay is surprisingly deep, offering tons of replay value as you try to complete it using less and less credits. It's also a spectacular showcase of Saturn capabilities.

I'd add 'Bug!' and 'Clockwork Knight' to the list for us platform fans 😊

Guardian Heroes for the soundtrack alone.

The definite uprezzed/control improved/online version is now available via Xbox.

A great and underappreciated system 😊

Absolutely envy people that are coming into the Saturn for the first time
I think it’s nice for people to get a fenrir or saroo installed but there was something lovely getting physical games from 30 years ago and popping the disc in feeling like when I was young again

Tbh the 10 games you’ve picked pal will keep a new Saturn owners busy for weeks
👌

Best console of its generation

My favorites i will always remember playing:
-Virtua fighter 2
-Virtua cop 1 and 2
-Fighting vipers
-Daytona Usa
-Panzer dragoon
-Bug
-Three dirty dwarves
-Scud
-Nights

If it was 15, i bet Sakura Wars would've been there!

Great picks for newcomers! Maybe add Clockwork Knight, but quite hard to choose with only 10 games 🤪

Bulk Slash passed me by back in the day - looks amazing! hope it runs ok on the ARC

I just smile is an absolute banger. Been on my Spotify for years 😂

Great list!  Very happy to see SEGA Rally, Burning Rangers, Bulk Slash and (of course) NiGHTS on the list.
Personally, I'd opt for Panzer Dragoon Zwei over the original. What you said about the original is true, but I feel Zwei is a more enjoyable and accessible experience overall. Also, if I were to go for a lightgun game, House of the Dead would get my vote. I love the Virtua Cop games - but House of the Dead had me and my friends hooked for ages. Especially when we realised that there were multiple paths and secrets to find.
Great video though - so many great Saturn games for newcomers to discover. So hard to choose just 10 games. We need a "Top 30 Games to Play First!" video 😉
