This was my mom and dad's song! Married in 1960. I have a video of them dancing to this on their 50th. My mom passed away from covid in 2021, and I played this song for her until she took her last breath! I will forever love this song!
I was born in 1951, so I was 14 when this song was released. I truly believe I grew up in the best of times as far as all the music and America had a moral compass. it's so refreshing to see the younger generation hear these songs for the 1st time in their lives and be blown away by their God given talent in their voices.
Great to see young people give the older songs a listen. The young women are swooning. This music is the best, a beautiful sound. Hope the young folks listen to others. ❤
Seriously, my wife and I’s wedding song in 1983. In 2008 our son and daughter made a video with this song and a few others for our 25th anniversary. July 2 of this year is 40 years for us, a son, 2 daughters, and 4 grandsons and a granddaughter later, we still love each other and slow dance to this song. She was with me throughout my Marine career of 30 years, and now leukemia from the Camp Lejeune water. My wife is my soulmate, and I NEED her love, and am so blessed that she is STILL MINE❤️
As the one lady said "I've just been serenaded by the Gods" - so true. He knocked it out of the ball park with this song - the voice, the lyrics, the music - it's perfection.
I was 18 in 1965 got married . My som was born in in 1966. My husband and listened to this music ,the best kind of music back in those days. Still enjoy it. Bobby Hatfield died in 2003. But still the best songs by them. The best music.back in the 60's
I love the response from the black people watching a white man sing a song like that. So much respect shown. Makes me proud to see that. You all should listen to the song Black Betty, also sung by white men.
I’m 76 years old and had the amazing privilege of having the righteous brothers sing this song at my dinner table, it’s something I never forgot, it was amazing, they were very kind to us and I’m a Puerto Rican and my husband to be was a Mexican young man so I can say there were no racial barriers ( we were in California) 💞🙌🙏🥰💙
