You guys do understand that Chief of Staff to the CEO controls almost everything in a company, right? Most of the time, the CEO is not even aware of many things happening and Chief of Staffs are the ones who make a lot of decisions.
In this case, it looks like she could just have been passing insider information about clients and revenue of a private company to this fund manager who has been siphoning money into a private company.
FBI needs to investigate him and his wife as well. Marriage could have been a strategic decision as well - that the wife is not required to testify.
