I have genuinely have no idea where English cricket would be without Joe Root. What a player

Just the best we’ve ever seen. No one quite like Joe Root, Windies game for all money then root says hold my bat and get 160 runs to win us a game we should’ve lost. What a bloke.

Shocking fielding from England but wow Joe root. I think it’s fair to say he redeemed himself for the drop.

Jacks at number 7 seems to be working really well.

We have got to find a wrist spinner to take over from Rashid when he eventually retires. Such a weapon in limited overs cricket

Feel someone has to mention how Brilliant Alzarri Joseph was.

Had the West Indies won, no one could complain after the shocking fielding from England. But for an exceptional innings from Root, they would have won comfortably.

Unbelievable knock. Watched it live.

Root was sensational despite the fortuitous lbw decision going his way. Root just oozes class.
Commiserations to Windies. Much better performance from them today.
England finally win an ODI series.
Hope the ECB does not sweep the longstanding domestic one day cricket issues under the carpet.
One series win does not mean the domestic one day cricket issues has been fixed.

I was very privileged to watch this game in person. Joe Root is incredible. Windies played nicely too

Joe root saving our backsides again. Heres a stat, brook has won the same amount of odi series at home as butler did at home in 3 years. Brook has only had 1 odi series.

The best batsmen of all time, when he becomes leading run scorer in tests no on can doubt him

England needs to tighten up in the field. Just from these highlights, multiple dropped catches multiple misfields and a few missed run outs opportunities. Come on, gentleman, you guys are better than that. Was pleased ducket caught 1 on the boundary to get some confidence back. We are lucky to have root.
