because i keep getting comments on this that bridget must be the contestant alex was talking about when he said there was one person he disliked:
she's almost certainly not. he said that way before bridget was ever on the show, and he has stated since then that it's still only that one unnamed person. my guess is on one of the people they had on the american season, but obviously i don't know and neither does anyone else.
even though i think alex might've been genuinely annoyed at bridget a couple times during the series, he also clearly thought she (and the dynamic they had) was funny.

The only thing better than Bridget being rude to Alex is Bridget consciously and verbally gaslighting herself into believing that certain explicitly worded rules just don't apply

After seeing Alex be genuinely abused and humiliated with a straight face in some series it really hammers home how much she is specifically managing to get under his skin in this. It's impressive in a horrifying sort of way.

I go back and forth on whether I think Bridget was doing it for the bit or if she really didn't understand things at all.

One great thing about being an American watching this show is we have no context for anything these (we assume) successful people have done.  So, they are just like an array of kooky characters to us.

Bridget is the only contestant so far that genuinely broke Alex.

Zaltzman might become the second.

It continues to this day whenever Alex is asked about Bridget his answers are complimentary but very very short in a "no further questions" kind of way.
