Brand New Horror Games That Are Good - Part 2

The Suffering and The Suffering Ties that bind are both excellent horror games.

I had Friday the 13th on C64. It came with some fake blood capsules in the case too!

All you had to do on Friday 13th was hit everyone you see with a weapon once and if their shirt turned black, they are Jason  and you just keep hitting them.

Evil Dead: Hail to the King and A Fist Full of Boomstick were actually pretty good games.
Friday the Thirteenth 6: Jason Lives is DEFINITELY the best movie in the franchise. For so much of my childhood, I actually thought the actor "Thom Matthews"who starred in Jason Lives (as well as Return of the Living Dead franchise) was in fact the American Ninja "Michael Dudikoff, lol.

Also the free NES homebrew All Hell Unleashed v6.66. It's a side scrolling platformer where you battle horror icons from the 80s/90s like Jason, Michael, Freddy, Ghostface, Chucky, Candyman, Killer Klowns, Pennywise, Leatherface, etc. I would've loved it as a kid. But I get to love it now.

Puppet Combo is a great indie horror developer for PC. Lovely VHS and Z-grade movie aesthetics. Murder House is especially highly recommended.

I didn’t play any of these, but Dracula looks worth a try.

THANK You for the scan lines ❤❤❤

Lol I love that there are wheelchairs in the TCM game hilarious

Love Fist Full of Boom Stick.  It's also got a pretty good atmosphere.  It's dated, but why I love retro. Takes me back every time I play it.

Awesome

Getting close to spooky season.

I love your reviews it takes me back to my childhood. I grew up with the Atari and the intellivision in the coleco and arcade games which were utterly magic for me thank you!

I know it's not movie related but add in Splatterhouse & Manhunt in here

Clock Tower 3

Like yourself I went to see The Exorcist at the Showcase in Bristol on its rerelease. I remember there being quite the palpable atmosphere, even for a film from the 70's.

Fun Fact- LJN only published Nightmare On Elm Street. It was actually made by Rare.

I've just come back here to watch this again cos the sequel just dropped the other day. It's bookmarked for me to chill out with on Sunday morning (ok.... maybe early afternoon!! ) I too loved some of these films - watching the Elm Street movies as a kid in the late 80s and early 90s was amazing. I guess they're very much of their day, and their overall style and vibe was very much a part of the whole late 80s/early 90s Zeitgeist - along with all the other classic films and legendary actors of the day. I never really played many games based on horror movies back then though, and I don't think most of it really translated too well to the 8 and 16-bit hardware of the time - the things that made these movies so brilliant and memorable, just couldn't really be brought across to the player. Still, fascinating series mate, and probably my favourite type of content you do. I realise that it probably takes you much longer to make them, but my hope is that you get the views you deserve with this stuff and continue to make more. All the best mate.

Dude come on WARLOCK is awesome and it fits like a WARLOCK movie
