About the outlines it's mostly made to make models stand out on smaller screen, they did the same with Smash For 3DS. If you remove the outlines and look closer at the models you will notice they are quite los res in texture with pixels showing on em.

The black bar which appears in XY's dragon elite four members battle is the railings surrounding the arena decorations, the purple fire torches.

I wonder if maybe Alolan Raticate was left with Gumshoos's cry on purpose since it is a lot more menacing that Raticate's short, high-pitched one

In regards to Giratina having Rotom's cry, I think it's due to the fact that technically forms are separate species and forms often follow each so I assume Giratina's form value makes it actually access one of Rotom's forms but because I imagine there's some failsafe, it goes back to altered Giratina and the failsafe mechanism doesn't apply to cries so it ends up trying to use the cry of the "form species" following Giratina Origin which I believe is the start of Rotom's forms

Honestly I quite like the outlines. I think it adds definition and charm and makes them look sleeker. I feel like it looks kinda flatter without the outlines and also makes the slightly jagged pixelated edges more noticeable. I think I would like the look of the Switch games more if they had outlines. What would be lovely is if all the games let the player choose based on personal preference.

10:16 Man, whenever I replay XY, I STILL refuse to save my game in the North and South sections in Lumiose City

1:58 No more whimsy. Just the cold, harsh reality of being a trainer in Kalos.

I know this video is supposed to explain glitches and stuff but I started dying at 37:22 when it showed that little puppy vs the Pokemon Equivalent of Satan.

27:08 Oh, yes! The damage Markiplier! Very tragic.

How could you miss out the famous cloning glitch in X & Y!?

Anyway, shoutout to that one trainer back in the day who passed around his 6iv Shiny Greninja with Protean. He was a popular cloned Pokémon. 😂

With the Giratina Nectar glitch, I know what's going on from my ongoing dissassembly research. Basically, a couple of checks are not properly coded in this instance, so the Nectar changes Giratina's forme in the same way they'd change Oricorio's on use.

So Yellow Nectar makes Oricoria become forme index 1, which is both Electric Ori and Origin Giratina.

Pink and Purple make it become formes 2 and 3, which don't exist.

In this case, different calls to load various Pokemon data files fail in different ways - the sprite, model, and Pokemon data (stats, levelup, etc.) each default to the forme 0 data (so Altered Forme), but cries have a different handling (I haven't located the code for this yet), which tldr cause it to PARTLY read the data for the next Pokemon (Rotom), there's some nuances here, you often end up with weird mixes, distorted versions of the cries of that Pokemon or the next.

I experienced the glitch, but thankfully it was only a few days before the patch came out and I had other games to keep me occupied. While no textures were messed up from what I recall, I was definitely very stuck and kid me cried a good bit over it because I had JUST caught a full-odds shiny Fletchling the day beforehand

BTW, I commented about it in the original XY video, but if you use Extrasensory on Drasna's Dragalge with the 3D on, the animation of the move will be all messed up.

Ive found in Ultra Games if you head to the main hotel with Colress in it and head to the balconies and look through the glass window it also removes the outlines too

46:48 As I said in the original video, (for the people who didn't see my comment there,) the menu uses the music of the area you are in currently, and since the Poni island trial site does not have any music, neither does the menu. It's not a glitch, it's just a bit eerie. (also something I forgot to mention the first time, I don't think it would make sense for the wind sounds to count as music by the game, and to have it still playing in the menu might not make sense in the dev's perspective. I don't have a better way of explaining it, but I hope you get what I mean.)

Duuude I was HOPING to see that Evolution glitch in Sun/Moon in this video!! As a kid, I would close my eyes so I wouldn't get spoiled on the evolution, I couldnt help noticing it every time!!

@just.a.joltikk 1 year ago

13:57 I really wish Wailord had its own custom model, I was quite disappointed when I evolved mine and it had no custom model like Wailmer does

Idk why, but the Flabébé cry glitch scares the life out of me. Apparently there's a cry glitch in Pokemon Home like this between regular Flowette and Eternal Flower Flowette like this one.

Really makes me feel like the quartet is just cursed
