Today in the Sunday Bake series, I’m making the one bowl chocolate cake I’ve been baking for about 30 years. Everything goes into one bowl, gets mixed for two minutes, and turns into a lovely chocolate cake.

If you watched Friday’s Make, Store and Save video, this is the cake made from the dry baking mix I prepared there. It’s handy to have the mix ready on the shelf for a day when you fancy baking without measuring everything out again. You can also make the cake from scratch whenever you like.

A lovely recipe Stacey, and so quick and simple- thankyou. A good teaspoon of instant coffee really does intensify the chocolate flavour, but you absolutely do not taste coffee at all. Worth a try. Happy budget baking day. 😘

Made a double batch of this yummy easy chocolate cake, I an lucky
to have a coffee machine so I added a singe shot to the mix.
And used Dutch cocoa too.
This mix is a winner with me,
Also used Greek yogurt to the icing,

I just took this cake out of the oven, it is delicious! I used the double recipe, and since I’m a chocolate lover, I used 1/2 cup of cocoa and since someone else would like to know, I used 1 stick of butter and 1/3 cup of the Crisco butter stick. Had to taste before I put the frosting on! TFS 🤗
By the way, I used a Bundt pan, well greased with Bakers Joy, and came out perfectly.

My favourite chocolate cake recipe has cinnamon in it. Sometimes I add the cinnamon, and sometimes I replace it with vanilla essence. But the cinnamon version is nice.

It also has coffee. The coffee does bring out the flavour of the chocolate. You can taste the coffee in the uncooked batter, but strangely, when it's cooked, you don't taste coffee at all, just a really great chocolate flavour.
