Eyes On…

Tintin’s Mediterranean cruise is interrupted when he meets a mysterious man who leads him to an undiscovered Egyptian tomb. What appears initially as a mere detour unravels into a conspiracy spanning two continents, that only Tintin can put a stop to.

Tintin, Asterix and Thomas the tank engine made for a wonderful childhood and a life long love of books and reading.

As I continue to dive deeper into the series, especially with content production, I'm continuously amazed by the depth of the historicity surrounding Tintin. Every sequence seems to have its own little backstory. A third of the way in and I've already learnt a couple of new bits of trivia. Really cool editing style on the panels as well!

I remember trying to explain to my mother that professor Sarcophagus’s strange behavior came from the poison dart - even though I was aware that it came later in the book. It was a contradiction I figured I would one day figure out when I was grown up.

This just randomly showed up in my recommends with no context.
But given that this was one of the few Tin Tin comics I read when I was young, I had to click on it for some nostalgic memories.

I always thought the scene in Mecca takes place in Oman, making the flight to India a lot more plausible for a plane of that era!

Glad to see a channel like this pop up in my feed! I was always dismayed by the paucity of Tintin content on this platform.

Regarding the absurdly short hop that Tintin makes from Arabia to India, I suppose it would have made sense to the average European reader at the time as their conception of the Orient was just a semi-contiguous blob (much like how the USA would've seemed like a Gangsters and Cowboys theme park).

Great critique .. A little unkind, for what was likely an earlier production in TT's evolution; But thorough & informative. Looking forward to other reviews in this series. ☯

Lots of Intrigue: Mystery: The drawings of Cigars Of The Pharaoh is simply out of this world .

the one nitpick I have is that the weapon in the commissioner's house is not a kukri, but a katar. a kukri is a curved blade similar to a machete that has it's blade bent to face forward for easier cutting.
