I love the typical stereotype “ladies” or “hairdressers car” yet so many so called  “men” these days drive hybrid or electric embarrassments.

Own a 2011, TT 2.0 TFSI, manual. total underrated car

These videos are invaluable. Hard to find concise information about what vehicles are prone to what issues. Would like to see a polo video if possible

Don't forget to change that cam follower if it's worn. Such an over looked part.

For the boot opening, if you've ever had the battery die like I have, you can crawl inside the car to the boot and there is an "emergency release" cord on the inside, you should see a small keyhole in the tailgate just below the window line. Pop your key in and remove the felt cover, then pull the little cord and the boot will unlock.

Driveing 2016 2.0 TFSI S LINE,from new(2025) what a car, fantastic fun, done only 35 thousand miles, full audi history,  no problems at all, still a beautiful car to drive,I am keeping this for ever!

I've owned my MK2 TT RS for 13 years; Fan heater Motors go, Parcel  Shelf Brackets break, Bonnet Pull handles break, Crank walk breaks engine (push to start Bypass recommended). The Direct injection engines suffer from Carbon build up on the valves (walnut blasting gets rid). I've had 2 Hadex pump break over the years. Mag Ride breaks, best to replace with coilovers.
You can't code out the mag ride - It needs resistor (mag ride delete units)
Bose amps can get water logged if you don't keep the drain holes clear.
Fuel caps can stick closed when the cap is dirty

I plan on buying a 2013 TT soon and this video came up at the perfect time, thank you!

Would love to see a Mk3 version of this!

Great talk, very informative - but the music is a pain. You are good on your own, you don't need wallpaper music.

Concise and brilliant content, thank you. Horrific musical background though.

had this car in 2010, remapped to 270ps, really good memories

I was given a roadster 8J and I’ve had to do almost nothing to it, the roof needed calibration when I got it so had a mate with VCDS and we sorted that, it’s been a brilliant car apart from the crackle from the speakers in the rear with no radio on. Suspect the amp has had it but I don’t listen to anything much anyway.

Thanks for this video, I will consider all stuffs

I have an audi quatrott 09 plate cant find where power steering bottle is to check level

God I feel depressed I own a 58 plate tts (weekend car) just in the process of fitting apex springs... I dunno if he mentioned but I have the cam follower changed at every service too

One glaring missing issue is the thermostat sticking open or closed. My 2009 2.0 tfsi stuck open and the gauge never exceeded 75 degrees when it should run at 90 degrees. This caused poor fuel economy and the rev counter to cut in at 4000 rpm.  They're a bit of a pig to get at to replace but well worth doing.

I’ve had a few of these cars the real common issues are WATERPUMP HOODLACH DRIVERDOOR CARD COMING OFF LISENE PLATE LITE COMING OUT AND OVER ALL VERY DEPENDABLE

Great video. Had 07 MK2 2ltr TFSI still running with 166000 miles and still going strong. Major issue i had was a leak , this was traced to rear spoiler that raises. as commented in video if it has been removed at any time check for leaks. Mine was leaking down the retaining screws. Noticed issue when windows were steaming up for no reason.  Found puddle around battery also caused intermittent starting due to water getting into fuel control unit under back seat. Removed complete spoiler unit and resealed all with Tiger sealant no issue since. Window winder also failed due to poor quality cable upgraded and fixed for £40. Rear light earthing can be fixed if you are a confident diyer. drilling through base of rear lights and fitting decent sized cable and attach to frame (you tube videos). Dead right about pressure valve , had coil go week before which i replaced , then similar symptoms felt a bit like a misfire but slightly different . Genuine part upgraded or later version part fitted £25  and 30mins of my labour again easy for confident diy er . hope this helps. Happy driving.

Great video, do you have information on the mk3
