Alright boys, let’s talk about one of the toughest, most beloved players in Maple Leafs history, Wendel Clark. If you ask Leafs fans who their all-time favourite player is, chances are Clark’s name comes up a lot. And unlike Matthews, this guy had a moustache that matched his badass playstyle and heart. #torontomapleleafs #hockey #nhl #wendelclark #stanleycup

Clark represented what a Canadian hockey player is, highly skilled and tough as nails and no crap from anyone.

Hands down, one of the best complete players of all times. They once made a Wendell Clark toilet paper, but it didn't work. Because it wouldn't take shit from anybody.

Absolute warrior. He went out there and played every game like it was his last.

Gretzky said in his book Wendel Clark had the most powerful and accurate wrist shot he ever seen. Prime Clark was a beast.

Not many #1 draft picks can score 40+ goals per season AND can kick your enforcer’s ass

Wendel could flat out, lay dudes out with clean bodychecks. One of the best to ever do it.

I remember Wendel Clark as on of the best all-around players. He was tough as nails and could score too.

He got me into hockey. My aunt got three glass corporate seats and gave them to my dad. Clark hammered someone into the glass right in front of us. The guy got up, leaned on his stick and took a huge breath. The hit was unreal.

Wendel was the ultimate hockey player.

I loved Wendel. He was great when he wasn’t injured. He was just injured so much. What endeared him so much was that when he came back from an injury he was exactly the same. Every time.

Hands down my favourite hockey player of all time. Wish there were more big hitting, skilled forwards like Clark and Neely in the league these days.

Clark did his best to lead the Leafs to the Promise Land.

Wendel Clark and Gordie Howe. Best of the best. Toughness, skill and battleworn leadership.

It’s hard to find a player that gave more of himself on the ice. It came at the cost of so many injuries, but when he was healthy he was a freight train running through anyone on the ice, even the league’s biggest bads that were twice his size.

I watched the last Stanley Cup victory as a little kid. Wendle Clarke in my opinion is one of the best leaders the Leafs had since. A remarkable player. Thx Wendal.

Been watching Leafs since early 60's. Clark #1.

I remember as a kid Wendel popping in to our dressing room during the lockout and saying hi to all of us players before and after our game against Kelvington. Still have his autograph.
