wow, 48 minutes talking about pedalling?? thank you so much!!

Wonderful teaching 👌🎯👏 Now a follow up lesson using an upright and comparing the playing of these sample pieces to see what one can achieve and the best ways of getting the best sound possible. Not that I'm devaluating uprights, on the contrary, just as an experiment for those of us who play on this kind of piano. Get well soon! 🤗😽💕🍀

Thank you for the thorough explanation of pedalling. You made so much sense in the way you explained it through good choice of words, body language and the use of camera illustrating when the pedal is pressed and released along with the notes. Great teacher ❤

Thanks! I'm an intermediate student, and this video is the best instruction I've seen on pedaling anywhere online. Thank you!

It feels like pedaling is very under-explained by the teachers I've had so far, and this has helped demystify it some.

Can you do a followup video on other pedaling techniques like "half-pedaling", "quarter pedaling", or whatever you call pedaling with various degrees of pushing down the pedal to get different effects?

48 minutes of video, am i dreaming???

Of course the advice and insights in the video are worth much more than this ... small token of my appreciation for the video!

i love those kind of longer videos, i feel its so valuable and you learn so much more than "classic" 10min videos, thank you so much for this, i wached it 3 times already. also i would say tht i prefer a much cleaner sound over a more muddy one

I quite like videos like this, in case you were wondering about feedback i’d love more like this. In depth, just talking, live examples.
Both entertaining and invaluable as someone who taught themselves. Much appreciated
I also prefer the cleaner (naked) sound. Not necessarily minimal use of pedal but the clean quality still, not overuse of it though either

Thank you so much !!
That’s what I really need to learn. I hope you would have a concert here in Japan❣️

Excellent! A video about the "magic" almost no other piano channel talks about. 🙂

Thank you for sharing these tips! I’m new to your channel, but I find it extremely helpful as I learn piano on my own. I practice Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu and there’s so much nuance to pedaling in this piece. I really need to work on that understanding and control, hence why your video is a treasure for me 😍

@thomasschulte7635 2 weeks ago

Unbelievable the coincident! Your examples are some of my Choice I am currently learning and pedaling is definitive an issue. That clarified some questions I had for a Long time. Makes me very happy. Thanks indeed. 👏

I've noticed over the years that your playing is wonderfully articulate, and as a piano player, I recognize the role that pedaling plays in that. Now on to the important stuff: The title that appears around 1:50 reads "What do you pay attention on?". Perhaps that should be "What do you pay attention to?". :-)
