They were hiking with friends, climbing with partners, walking beside family, or moving with entire groups.
Then visual contact broke.
Minutes later, they were gone.
On Mount Rainier, Eric Lewis was roped to two other climbers. When they pulled the rope back in, only a knot came back.
At Yosemite Falls, George Penca vanished from a hike of roughly twenty people — and has never been found.
In Utah's High Uintas, twelve-year-old Garrett Bardsley walked about 150 yards back toward camp. He never arrived.
This ECHO-7 documentary examines 16 real Missing 411–style cases built around one disturbing pattern: the person was NOT alone when the known sequence broke. Some were rescued. Some were found days or years later, in places no one expected. Some remain missing.
The question is not only where they went.
It's how the gap became large enough for them to disappear at all.
