This time, we're going to Bodrum, Turkey, to see the city a little differently – without a tour plan and without staying in a hotel. From the port, we'll set off on foot towards the famous windmills on the hill between Bodrum and Gümbet.

We'll show you the entire route: how to get to the windmills, what we pass along the way, and what the view awaits at the top. The panorama of the two bays of Bodrum and Gümbet is truly impressive. However, the windmills themselves really surprised us… and not in a positive way.

Along the way, we also visit the Turkish bazaar by the bus station, stop for coffee and a kebab, and then discover a promenade we haven't been to before. We also show you Bodrum's public beach, which is easily accessible from the promenade.

This is the second day of our trip to Turkey and another example of how Bodrum isn't just about beaches and all-inclusive resorts. This time, you'll see the city from our perspective: spontaneously, on foot, and on your own.
