I have this model and the height of the bars arent adjustable. Won't start unless it's fully extended.

Thanks for your input.  I bought last week the plastic was impressed with the tech. Just not the built quality its all plastic.  I'm returning it and getting this model based on this Review I was telling my wife all was good except it seems it needed that steel weight to give me more of a mower feel and to keep the lines clean.  Excited because it will be here today.

Thnx Again

Home depot also has a Ryobi self  propelled mower for $359.

I purchased the 20 inch self propelled with the plastic deck with a 6.0ah battery. I really wanted to like it but it does seem to be not heavy duty. I've mowed the grass twice, the first time mulching and using the self propelled mode. It can about for passes short, as the battery was drained. The second time I used the rear bagger and hand pushed not using the self propelled mode. It's so light you really don't have to use it. It does an OK job. I feel like the blade vortex doe no lift the grass enough like on a conventional mower. Also the blade that comes with the mower is not very sharp. Sorry for being so long winded, but I spoke with a Ryobi Rep and discussed my concerns. Long story short (long), I'm returning the mower and getting the one in this video. I just don't think the plastic deck will make the long haul. I have two other 40v Ryobi tools so I can use one of those batteries, if needed. I will tell you the 40v weed eater is better than my Stihl weed eater.

People kill me when they purchase something new that has an issue out of the box and call it "quality control". That's ridiculous. You have ONE product out of perhaps thousands sold. There will always be failures here and there; you happen to be the lucky winner. If there are 100's of negative reviews on a product, that counts as a quality control problem.

Maybe better sealing by Ryobi will allow for hose wash off instead of wipe down. Consider you may be paying more.

The other down side to the Atlas is the crap warranty. You should add the cost of the extended warranty at HF to have a better cost comparison.

I see HomeDepot is having a special on this mower for $479.00 with that said how did you come to the conclusion that this 40 volt Ryobi was a better mower then The Ego, 60 volt Toro and 60 volt Greenworks mowers all for the same price of $499.99?

Glad you went with this one or would you have preferred the Atlas from from HF?

Have you had any random shut off problems, second time using mine, it kept cutting off, full battery help please

You lost me when you said it took 4.5hrs to charge the battery, that's crazy!

8:39 watching this at 430 am on my headphones and this scared the ever living shit out of me.

Never ever buy this garage lawnmover or anything made by Ryobi  company you Will regret it Sitchin a reason its totaly garage waste of money
