I have no connection with Northern Ireland, but these Orange marches seem antagonistic and stupid . They look like a bunch of idiots saying "Our ancestors beat up your ancestors so shove it up yourself" to Catholics/Republicans.

"The Queen's highway".   The O.O. always were stuck in the past. Finest minds of 1690.

There were sectarian related murders against Catholics after the 1998 Drumcree incident, given how the 2 communities react, there should never be another march in the area again

the orange order has actually been banned at least 5 times in their history....by the crown 😂

They want to march down Garvaghy Road simply because that is where the Catholics are, and if they get away with it there will be other lost marches in other places that they will want to bring back too, solely to have their chance to lord it over Catholics.  They are so deluded that they haven't figured out yet that they are no longer the majority.

One thing is for sure, the people in the parades commission whose total inept and feckless actions lead to this mess, need removing immediately.

It’s a Cult. Most people want to live in peace. Then there are these people.

I remember when I first moved to Glasgow as a child and watched how Lodge  behaved when they approached a Catholic Church and even at that tender age I could see they were deliberately intimidating. Yet apparently politicians and judges don't know this.

They "march" to commemorate a battle in 1690 because they have never understood anything that's happened since. !

Their proudest achievement is something they had nothing to do with.

Why? And WHO gave permission? Back to this crap, hanging over the head of the children 🤬

He doesn't even know who the monarch is now, let alone who it was in the 17th century

The late Queen often referred to the Orange marches as the silly marches. How right she was.

The Orange order is especially goofy to me, as a Dutchman. A weird, foreign, colonialist cult cosplaying in a mishmash of 17th century Dutch memes.

Bigotry dressed up with the justification of history.

This seems to being done to cause division. Just when people need to be unified.

Dear oh dear....unionism and to some extent protestantism has never had a vision for a future in Northern Ireland....certainly not for catholics and meagre at best for protestants. It has always been for unionist leaders to leave us alone and we will govern NI as we see fit. Those days are gone...long gone are the days when catholics knew their place and protestants kept them in it. As someone from a protestant unionist background i will be voting for a UI when the time comes. We do not need this type of attitude, behaviour and triumphalism in a modern society.

I've had to put up with these hate marches my entire life they need to be stopped altogether

Proof that dinosaurs still roam the earth 🦖

These people actually tried this stunt in my hometown in North East Scotland, an area with absolutely no history of this nonsense. Ironically Stonehaven was traditionally a Church of Scotland area which is Protestant. Yet they said Stonehaven was being racist toward them, as it was clear they were not welcome. They were also not welcome in Aberdeen and they have never returned, instead picking on a small nearby town, with local shops, restaurants and businesses getting threatened
