Bought a f250 4x4 diesel truck. Every oil change i spray the old oil underneath body and frame. It has preserved it for almost 40 years

In 2005 I  bought a new Ram Thunder road from Bangor Dodge. Fluid Filmed it every fall. At 300.000 miles traded it for a new 2017 Ecodiesel. Got top dollar trade in because of mint condition.  Been spraying the 2017 twice a year, now at 225,000 mi and still mint. BTW, I remove door panels and spray inside. I'm sure NH Oil is great, but more important to spray with something. Same with my Subaru.

I live in western PA and they salt the shit out of the roads here when we get winter weather,i spray with used oil every fall Religiously, the reason why i spray with used oil is because im cheap, but it works, great tips in this video❤

Nice to see someone who cares about the quality of his work and the customers he provides for. Thanks for showing us how it should be done. No doubt you run a 1st class shop.

I still have a 95 Toyota Pickup because my father had it sprayed with RustStop every year from 1995 until he died 19 years later.  Oil stops steel from rusting.  It's not complicated.  Long ago I had a landlord who shot old motor oil under his pickup every fall.  Old farmer's trick.  It works.

I have my vehicles done in Michigan with another competitor.  The shop has two people spraying.  They also remove taillights in trucks and jeeps to spray. They do drill four holes to get in cab corners snd rockers.  They use the long wand to spray into fenders and hood. I have it done yearly.  Is thinner than your product and isn't Fluid Film.  Does a nice job of protection.  Bottom line as you say.  It saves the vehicle.  Nice video and information for folks that don't know.

I am from Quebec, Canada and i get my cars sprayed yearly the first few years and sprayed when needed the rest of its life. We also spray the inside of the doors trough the drain holes, hood , trunk lid and inner quarter panels / wheel arch in the trunk. We remove all the plastic from the under belly to spray evenly. Started that in 1998 on my GMC pickup and never had rust issues on all my cars since, i keep them for 8 to 10 years. You did a great job on the Jeep.

Watching from the UK. I use a product called Lanoguard on my Mitsubishi L200. 2006 still going strong. Never had a issue with rust and the L200 is known as a rust bucket 😂

I live in the NE sticks of Kansas, and I drive old trucks, and when I change the oil, I spray it on the undercarriage. And having done this repeatedly for years, no one, and I mean no one can tell me it doesn't work. It works great!

I love it how you guys don't cut corners. It's just a blessing to see people take their time and do things right for once. Why do it at all if you don't do it right the first time.... right??? Good job guys keep up the good work. I've seen a couple of videos like this but I watch yours cuz you're very very thorough....👍👍👍👍

You're the third professional I've come across that says they love fluid film but after trying NHOU, that they like it better. Thanks for the advice! I can't wait to use this stuff on my 2006 honda ridgeline

Takes me a full day to get inside the frame rails and body panels of my Crown Vic. I take the wheels off one by one in order to get deep into the frame rails and fender wells. Car is rust free except for the bottom of the gas tank that was replaced mid-winter and the bare metal got some surface rust. I use Woolswax but  I'm looking for something for the radiator area, the Woolswax clogs up the fins so I was thinking of an oil for that area.

If I was restoring a vehicle I would always put a lanolin based product as an undercoat. I know where there is an all original 1976 f250 here in northern NY that is daily driven is clean and looks almost like the day it was new. The same guy has a clean 1995 f350 that he uses as a service truck and both have always been treated yearly with fluid film.

In the UK sheep lanolin is the most popular and works well. I does tend to stink for a couple of weeks but definitely worth it. It's also completely safe for a materials and comes in either a thin oil or a thick grease for high wear areas. I also pour the hot oil from the oil changes through the rocker panels. Never had even an advisory for corrosion on any of my cars despite them being decade's old.

Good job fellas! I’m just up above you’s in New Brunswick, Canada. Been using Fluid Film in the same application manner you showed here on my 2000 4 Runner for the last 16 years . Still looks like new! Been offered ridiculous money for it…. Not for sale!!!!

Tip for guys who still undercoat with drain oil: I’ve tested on sheet metal coupons and drain (used) oil has stuff in it that encourages corrosion. Fluid film did great. Clean motor oil and WD40 did better than drain oil. Drain only did tiny bit better than the controls with nothing on them. Use a lanolin base like fluid film or a cosmolene.

I moved up to New Hampshire from NY and I bought a brand new 2018 Silverado. My neighbor said that I should get it oiled. I said of course I'll change the oil. He said no you flatlander up here we oil underneath the chassis. So I've been getting this done every other year because I hardly use my truck and it's still perfect. Last summer I drove my truck to Kansas to see my son. Went to the Chevy dealer to get the oil changed. The service manager said that I have a catastrophic oil leak and they don't know where it's coming from. When I went to the lift 3 or 4 mechanics were looking at it. I started laughing and told them there's no leak, I get it oiled. They never heard of it before. But with that said if you value your vehicle, do it. If your truck is a daily driver, do it every year.

Excellent, I use a hand pump sprayer with 50/50 old motor oil and diesel fuel.

Here in Montreal about 150$. The shops that specialize will have 4 guys on one vehicle. I do it every two years. Last F150 was mint underneath after 8 salty Canadian winters.

Great job. I hope my shop does a meticulous job like you do. 2 hours? Most are doing it in 15.
