Seiko developed their own accuracy standard because the Swiss standard wasn't good enough for them. That is the epitome of GOAT.

My favorite brand since i was a kid. My father's Seiko 5 always was a dream for me. I have owned many Seikos in my life but ive never owned that specific model because i want that dream feeling of owning my fathers watch to last forever!

I bought the Alpinist purple Edo edition last week, and it is an amazing watch — Seiko are a great brand who have all avenues covered with watches.

Seiko = GOAT, Grand Seiko = GOAT evolved, and just when you thought it can’t go higher, Credor comes along like a secret final boss you didn’t even know could exist. Philippe Dufour cosigning the whole thing is just unfair to everyone else. 😂

A brand that somehow manages to offer extraordinary watchmaking, remarkable heritage, and the occasional pricing strategy that leaves collectors questioning their own sanity.

Andrew, congratulations on your new website, HOW YOU WATCH! What a fantastic initiative for the watch-loving community. We need more places that celebrate the passion, knowledge, friendships, and occasional financial irresponsibility that make this hobby so wonderfully addictive. I encourage every watch enthusiast to check it out and support this excellent effort!

And now, if you’ll excuse me, my coffee has gone cold, my watch collection has become slightly more expensive, and somehow I’ve convinced myself I need another Seiko. Apparently, the only thing more complicated than a mechanical movement is explaining to my wife why a perfectly functioning watch collection requires another watch.

I have the Seiko 1959 Alpinist 'Deep Lake'
I bought used for about half the price of new , and it is quite simply fantastic, I own Seamasters , have owned Tag and Breitling, and the quality of the dial and finish of the case and bracelet is as good or surpasses them . The movement has  70 HR power reserve . All for €700 .
