Outstanding

No one mentions the people walking dogs in the distance lol. From right to left.

I was at Ft Lee in 1978 for my Army job training and walked petersburg battlefield many times

Shall celebrate this date forward.

What a great presentation of a sad day in our historySgt Reese was from my hometown of Shamokin Pa .

Doing research on friends tree. One individual (CSA) killed in Crater/Petersburg. Very sad.

Great video! And well told.

Sadly he didn't mention that white union officers also slaughtered the USCT

17:27 thats why I love these videos.

Enthralling. What a impactful story told well.

From one parks employee to this one, GREAT interpretation skills. A good park ranger who can tell a story to keep it's audience engaged while teaching them something goes a long way. The best I ever had was at the Battle of Gettysburg and I wish this gentleman was there when I visited Petersburg. Thank you for this video and I am now a new subscriber to this channel. Cheers all.

🤯🤯💔💔

Awesome 👍👍👍

GREAT video to learn from thank you.

thanks for the video

Was just there yesterday, it was so eerily quiet.

the Union finally won the conflict due to sheer determination, numbers and logistical superiority, despite somewhat incompetent leadership,if the Federals had gotten their act together, the war would have been decided much sooner 😓

Man if this was executed correctly it would have been effective. Sad.

Are you allowed to walk to these spots?

Those sad racist recollections are the perfect example of why the Confederacy had to be defeated.
