Unironically although this just sounds like a talent and money sink having the weirdest lore ever like killing all of your gen 1 idols to introduce your gen 2 idols is such a funny move with in fairness negates all downsides this idea could ever had

CLC-Corp had so much potential, shame about what happened. Who could have predicted Mount Vesuvius erupting?

"If you're hearing this, please please please-" followed by immediately "No one tell them." is the mark of a professional.

Caecilius est in Youtube-video. Caecilius in Youtube-video Rin salutat.

We can only hope that the posting of this video means Rin has made the presentation and CLC-corp is closer than we think...

how on earth did i get this immediately

can you imagine transitioning from this to Goat Simulator

Rin studied latin, I knew it, and also this idea would be really funny.

Gen 2 is based on the Minimus / Minumus Secundus comic books that the same people from Cambridge made for Elementary/early middle school Latin learners.

Miniumus Mouse girl.

They all need to speak latin including the dog

So is one of those VTubers going to do a cover of Bastille's "Pompeii"?

Cambridge Latin Course 1 my beloved. Caecilius sure loved his horto.

Well if we want to talk about textbooks with a kill count there's a physics textbook whose introduction is

"Ludwig Boltzmann, who spent much of his life studying statistical mechanics, died in 1906, by his own hand. Paul Ehrenfest, carrying on the work, died similarly in 1933. Now it is our turn to study statistical mechanics."

This is (not accounting for budget) a really good idea with no flaws whatsoever

I would personally prefer my own Latin education which used Suburani, which also had an absurdly insane story 💀

This was one of the first Rin streams I caught live, what a great introduction

Each gen could have the same talent with different vtuber personas. Each gen is themed after a historical tragedy and corresponding text book. One of the talents is Daniel Day Lewis

Erm the Doctor Who episode The Fires of Pompeii is based on those exact characters.

Sounds like one of my old high school textbooks

Rin Penrose talking about the Cambridge Latin Course is the crossover I never knew I wanted but it turns out I *really really wanted*. (I don't remember the plots of the books past number 2 all that well, partly because at that stage the Latin was getting a little much for my childhood brain, but I seem to remember them going delightfully off the rails with Quintus turning up in Britain and then Salvius getting a whole villain arc. I think more textbooks should have wild dramatic plots, really.)
