Madonna simply is and always has been an ever evolving human being. It is apparent (especially in this ever cruel day and age of social media) that people are having a hard time understanding that concept.
Girlie Show was her greatest tour. Theatrical and dramatic, diverse yet cohesive, presenting several of her most spectacular performances. A sumptuous amount of creative energy from the worlds foremost performer, her brother and the musicians, Dietrich, Donna and Debbie nodded in approval and applauded from the wings.
This show contains not one but two of the most brilliant moments in pop history ive ever seen; one is the studio 54 section (with she appearing on a descending disco ball, singing Express yourself, then deeper and deeper, then why it's si hard with that multirracial orgy, then in this life all alone on the stage) and the other the cabaret section, specially like a virgin and i'm going bananas/ la isla bonita. It took my breath away.
The Girlie Show is one of my favorite shows from Madonna and Erotica is one of my favorite eras 💚✨Glad she did this version of Like A Virgin! It was a brilliant entertaining idea✨
she really knew what she was doin with Girlie Show& the whole concept. it is so calming and amazing listening to her interview in this documentation. I love you, Madonna❤️ if her timeline was devided into 2 era, the this is her mature era (before Evita)
Ps: I love how they include the MTV commercials here😅it showed what had been around at that era🥳
Did anyone else notice that the interviewer was hot for Madonna. The way She was looking at her, leaning in towards her and especially the way she kept playing with her hair. Very flirty. Also, Madonna's voice is so deep here. I LOVE IT!!!
Once I was a child in need, but Madonna saved my life!! Her positivity and powerful wisdom inspired me to be the better version of myself every single day… and to enjoy the process!! ❤️❤️👏👏💪💪💪❤️
I loved this interview when it first came out and it's still great. You can tell she's comfortable with her friend doing it and it's just so nice. A turbulent time in her life, but oh so creative and badass Lady :D Is and always was fabulous!
Madonna was so clear headed here, so grounded and focused and I guess happy. This was even before Guy Ritchie. I just can't stop thinking that after her divorce from Ritchie she seriously changed. She is less grounded, more with her head in the clouds, more absent, and most of all a bit lost. Until the day of today...
