Technology has changed, but many human conflicts remain the same. In this Thursday's (17) Linhas Cruzadas, Thaís Oyama and Luiz Felipe Pondé go back 2,400 years in time to investigate what Greek tragedies can still tell us about contemporary life.
Using "The Trojan Women," "Medea," "Antigone," and "Agamemnon," the episode addresses themes such as suffering, revenge, guilt, ambition, and justice. Cristina Franciscato, PhD in Greek Literature from USP, participates in the conversation and explains why these works continue to transcend the centuries.
Between choices and consequences, the program shows how these stories help us reflect on the limits of human control and on conflicts that remain present even in a world transformed by technology.
